Increase your core strength, improve your balance, and boost your flexibility all at once with this Reebok core strengthening kit. Outfitted with a 25.5-inch exercise ball, a pump, a base ring, two 3-pound hand weights, a fitness guidebook, and a
Core Fitness Workout DVD, the kit includes everything you need to work your core into tiptop shape. The fitness ball offers an ideal way to strengthen your abdominal and back muscles, as it forces you to focus on your core whether you're lifting weights using the ball as a substitute bench or performing crunches while sitting on the ball. The base ring, meanwhile, keeps the ball more stable during various standing and sitting exercises. And once the ball is in position, you can use the 3-pound neoprene-covered hand weights--which are soft and easy to grip--to strengthen and tone your upper body while doing core work.
And don't worry if you've never done core work before, as the Core Fitness Workout DVD offers a 30-minute workout program with full exercise descriptions. The DVD demonstrates a variety of exercises that employ the principles of core strength training, all of which use either the ball and the hand weights. As a complement to the DVD, Reebok added its fitness guidebook, which offers detailed instructions on how to use your core strength kit in the comfort of your living room.
About Reebok
Reebok's United Kingdom-based ancestor company was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So, in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes. In 1958, two of the founder's grandsons started a companion company that came to be known as Reebok, named for an African gazelle.

I bought this kit mainly for the fact that includes the exercise ball, weights, AND workout dvd. The information claims that the ball included is 65cm, but even with mine inflated to the max, its pushing 55cm; which for someone of my height (5'10) is too small to use for most exercises. For my use it's O.K., but not desired. The dvd is not too exciting and seems like it would be more beneficial to the kit to have one that includes the basic, core strengthening exercises rather than trying to disguise moves as pilates. I am a beginner to fitness in general, but this is not as challenging as I'd like.
