I bought this walker for my elderly mother. My one worry was that she wouldn't be able to work the brakes with her arthritic fingers, but she does just fine. She's a small woman, 5'2", and the petite version fits just fine. Buy the standard version for someone over 5'7". Folding and unfolding it is a small challenge for her, but she does manage.
