These clamps are good for the money (90 shipped). As some has said the castings on the clamp surface are not flat, so grind/file them if you need it flat, and the plastic caps fall off (and are lost) pretty easily. But they work very well and are very cheap.
Packing pukes

The clamps are a great buy. Finally I believe I have enough of them. As in the other reviews the packing is ridiculous. The outer box was gaping open. The manufacturer's carton was OK. Inside the clamps were well wrapped with bubble wrap. Inside the bubble wrap ALL the plastic ties were broken. The clamps were clean and I really shouldn't complain about the packing, but it should be fixed.
I'm used to buying products from Apple. Their packaging is a work of art.
Nice set for the money! 2008-02-20
Actually, I purchased these after reading all the previous reviews because I needed a lot more clamps asap without running my wallet dry.
First- shipping was fast and all the clamps were in a single box. THe box was in perfect shape- no signs of damage.
Second- All the clamps were individually wrapped in plastic, not protective, but they were also bundled to reduce (not prevent) banging into each other during shipping. No obvious damage!
Third- No broken clamps. Fit and finish looked good. No excess grease or oil like other reviewer mentioned. The clamping surfaces looked okay, not great. They weren't REAL bumpy, but not ground smooth either. The rubber pads should alleviate 95% of roughness, I can easily grind or otherwise smooth the surfaces if/when I need to. I usually finish plane or sand most surfaces after glue-up anyway...
Fourth- Every clamp works as expected. No duds, no pop-releasing!
Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. For the money, i just may buy another set of them!

I am a novice woodwoker. That being said, these clamps were great because of the quantity and variety you receive for the money you spend.
The clamps are similar to bessey clamps, but be aware that the plastic on the ends of the clamp is cheaper than what bessey uses. I frequently have to find pieces that have fallen off.
I have used these clamps on two different projects and have not noticed any damage to my work pieces from using them (as long as appropriate care is taken)
Denali Shiping Problems 2008-01-18
It took two tries, but I finally received all of my 30 piece set. The reason: the shipper sends the entire set (weighing about 50 lb) in a thin cardboard box. The first shipment resulted in the box being destroyed and clamps fell out. I sent it back, but I had to provide the box for shipment, since the original box was destroyed. Although I communicated with Amazon, there was no reimbursement for the box and packaging. The second try resulted in a complete shipment arriving at my door - although, again, the shipping box was destroyed and FedEx had taped it from top to bottom to keep from losing parts. The Denali clamps? Outstanding!
Good Value for the price 2008-06-22
The Denali bar clamps are just what you would expect, based on the price. They are a useable tool, they perform the task, but without all the bells and whistles of higher quality - more expensive clamps. They will probably serve the hobby woodworker just fine. The only area I am somewhat concerned about is the handles, they look somewhat fragile, care in handling and storage is advised. Summation - a good buy for the price.

For the $$$, this is a great set of clamps. Not as sturdy as clamps costing twice as much (but I don't expect that). However, if you need a good set of medium duty clamps you can't go worng with these. There are sizes to fit nearly all needs and they are quite sturdy for the price. I think these were a good deal, and compliment our heavier pipe clamp collection very well. Nothing's worse than running out of clamps!
Works Fine 2008-05-24
The above clamps arived without problem. UPS or the manufacter got it right. The clamps were clean and ready to use...with the exception of the flat surface on the molded section of the bottom of the clamp. I ground all of them smooth with a seven inch grinding disk. Took about 15 min. Repainted with a little grey paint. The cushions now stay in place and the surface will not mare your project.

I'm cheap... so I bought these clamps. I'm going to repeat a few other reviews...
The box that the clamps are sent in are pure crap... I had a set of clamps hanging out of mine. The box only matters for package delivery, which in my case was a bit scary. The quality of the clamps are just OK... remember you are buying cheap clamps. I had 3 clamps that if there was a simple process of returning I would. 1 clamp had a cracked handle, 1 clamp had a lot of reverse play, and the last one had a small crack in the metal on the head portion. Also the pads are better than nothing and that is about it. I bought the Denali 3/4 pipe clamp package as well and the quality is much better on those...

I bought a few clamps in this style from Harbor Freight that are better but cost a bit more as well. So for less than $4 (average) per clamp... they hard to beat.
