Editorial Review
With the TomTom FM Transmitter Mount, you can play the music on your GO through your car radio. Simply dock your GO on the Transmitter Mount, tune your GO and radio to the same unused frequency, and then sit back and enjoy your music, along with voice instructions and hands-free calling, all via the car audio system. What's more, connect an iPod to your GO 510, 710 or 910 via the iPod Connect Cable and the FM Transmitter Mount lets you play your iPod tunes through the car radio, too.

No Hands Free Calling 2008-04-29
If you are planning to use this for hands free calls via a Bluetooth phone connection, don't bother. Despite what the sales pitch or the manual says, you cannot here phone conversations through this mount. You can here the the phone ring on an incoming call, but once you answer the call, the audio switches to the internal speaker on my 910.
I called TomTom tech support and was told that the statement about using this mount for Hands Free Calls in the features portion and in the manual was I quote "Probably a misprint and they would look into it".

Worked well, but could be better 2008-04-07
I know that maybe I wanted it to be more than it is, but I found this to have a little more 'noise' when running the transmitter over the radio. I am not expecting audiophile level output, but I could not seem to adjust the transmitter and radio to not have at least a little bit of a hum. However, I am basically satisfied with it. I am using it with a TomTom 910.

TomTom Windshield Mount 2008-03-31
I purchased this mount to replace the original mount that failed after two uses. Based on the total lack of support from TomTom, I urge you not to purchase any TomTom products.

Useless 2008-03-05
No value here. FM transmission is spotty, even in cars with great antennas (Honda/Acura/Toyota). Stay away.

A TOTAL waste of money 2008-01-14
We traveled in a friends car that has on-board GPS. When a phone call came in the GPS over-powered the radio and he just started talking. This mount requires you be on a certain channel in order to hear it over your radio speakers, so you can forget being able to be listening to your favorite radio channel and simply receiving a call over your GPS. A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY...DO NOT BUY

TomTom FM Transmitter 2008-07-03
I bought this to replace the OEM Mount that came with my GO 510. The basic functions work -- sticks to windshield and charges the GPS, but other functions don't seem to work as well. The FM transmitter has so much static that I can barely here the GPS spoken directions. I haven't been able to use the speaker phone (connected by bluetooth to my mobile phone) either using the built-in microphone or external microphone since I got it. I don't know if I can attribute this to the mount or not, but these features used to work.

Good Choice for Enhanced Use 2008-06-07
Just purchased the TomTom FM transmitter and so far have found it to be a great choice for alternate audio while crusing. I had no problem connecting it and finding an FM frequency that clearly broadcast the audio from the TomTom 910 to my radio. I own a Corvette that I only rarely drive but with the top off it's hard to hear the instructions from the GPS so having the transmitter in place it really made the difference. Granted it's not quite the same as my built in GPS that plays music while not guiding me but I guess that if I wanted to I could connect my IPod up and listen to that through the TomTom. There may be an occasional crackle which is true of even normal FM radio stations but I would highly advise this mount for anyone that wants to drive with the windows open or has problems with peripheral noise and wants to hear the voice on the GPS. The best part is that I needed a new mount as my original was getting loose and sloppy anyway...I paid almost the same price for this mount as I would have for the stock replacement! Highly recommend this item and just make sure that you play with the FM frequency unil you find one that is free or interference...you'll be happy with the results. Others may have missed this step or settled before they found clear airwaves.

As advertised 2008-06-04
Just as advertised, the new mount works well with my Tom-Tom GO 510. No problem with install, everything worked as designed.

TomTom part 2008-06-02
Received the TomTom replacement holder for the one I lost during a recent auto wreck. It works just fine with my TomTom GPS.

Works great, but cost too much 2008-05-02
I had lost my mount on a business trip and had to buy another one. I did not need the FM transmitter, but this was the only way to buy a replacement. I called TomTom and they could not help. I am not happy with TomTom due to this. It is ridiculous that they do not have replacement parts.
