good deal but........
2007-11-16
The tv have good definition, style , design, on image the colors and pictures look great , but the sound is really poor, tiny sound, is minor than stereo!!!sharp is a good brand but in this model the sound is terrible ,sorry but is important make a integral performance in tv, picture -audio video, is possible the atractive is your price, really cheap, if you need a low price this is your best decision, repeat only the sound is ....ummm, but the others conditions is a good lcd -tv.
Sound is horrible
2007-11-14
Why did I not listen to the other reviewers that said the sound quality was atrocious? They were right. The sound has an irritating, tinny quality that is most annoying. I stole the external speakers of my kids' computer and now the TV sounds fine. Now my kids' complaints about me stealing thier speakers have an irritating, tinny quality that is most annoying.
Poor sound and picture

I would first like to say thanks to Amazon for a quick shipping and ease of returning this product. This tv was very disappointing, the sound was awful. The tv was to be used in my wife's office, however the sound was so bad this was not possible. Also, the tv was connected to our local cable and the picture was very disappointing. I would not recommend this tv unless you are going to connect extra speakers and use the better inputs (s-video or component). Very disappointing for the money.
Great TV For Kitchen or Bath
2007-08-30
After much research, we bought this TV to sink into a wall niche in our bathroom. My husband will use it to watch CNBC when he is shaving, and the TV will be fine for that. The picture quality is quite good, and the set up is easy. The sound is rather thin, though acceptable in a smaller room. It reminds me of the car speaker mono-sound one experienced at drive-in movies. (Apparently, no 15" sets have good sound yet, so tinny sound isn't peculiar to this Sharp.) When I removed the base, it took me a while to realize that, after you unscrew one screw that is deeply sunk, you have to turn the TV over and it will simply fall out. After two screws are removed, the base just slides out. Sharp, by the way, was singularly unhelpful in telling me how to remove the base safely; in fact, their agent said the base was not designed to be removed. But a salesman at Circuit City said it's flat-screen 101 to know that all those TV's are designed to be hung, and therefore have removable bases or bases that flip up, which double as wall mounts. He is the one who told me you sometimes have to turn the TV's over to get the deeper screws to drop out. We will be hanging this TV on the Sanus low profile VMFL1 in black, which we also bought from Amazon. It's a snap to install the mount. The only reason I am not rating this TV a 5 is that the sound quality is thin, and the Sharp sales reps were not well-informed on the product's features.
This is a great TV for a great low price

I bought this TV at Sears, not at Amazon, and I paid $199 for it. What a great value! Contrary to the other two reviews posted for this TV, I think this is an exceptionally high-quality television. The picture is crystal clear and the sound couldn't be better. I replaced an old 13" CRT TV with this beautiful device and wow, what a difference. You can't really go wrong for the price...I fully recommend picking one up.
Tin Box
2008-06-19
I bought this television but returned it because the sound quality was so bad. It sounded like the sound was coming through a tin box or a transitor radio. It was so irratating - even though the picture was pretty good I could not stand the sound.
Please clarify: Does this have ATSC??
2008-01-22
The NTSC warning implies it only has a NTSC (analog) tuner. The specs say it has both NTSC and ATSC (digital) tuners builtin. None of the reviews comment on how the builtin ATSC tuner performs... somebody w/one of these plz advise, thank you!
it doesn't work

My tv doesn't work. I don't know why but it doesn't work since the first day. I have an uncle that buyed one and works perfect. Maybe is only my TV.
Transistor burnt out

I got a total of 45 minutes viewing time from this TV. Less than a week after getting the TV, it burnt out.
Sharp 15 inch LCD TV

I'm very happy with this TV. I needed a small TV and the Sharp was the only TV that fit the bill. I also like the fact that this TV have audio / video inputs in componet, composit, and s-video formats.
