Walk, walk, walk, walk...... 2008-03-07
Slow game spent walking around a house and island. However, the graphics are beautiful and the story is pretty good. I just wished I didn't have to spend so much time watching people plod around. Get there already!

Addicting concept-who's next? 2008-03-06
As another reviewer said, it IS very addictive to find out who's going to be killed next. Waiting for the character to run from one screen to the next is a little annoying when you have to cross the island, but not a significant enough glitch to make you want to quit playing. The graphics are good and the location interesting, and overall the game is as good as the Nancy Drew series-although more violent and not quite as family friendly (there's mild language periodically throughout). I like the multiple endings. There are a few things I needed the walkthrough to figure out (like dealing with the wretched apples I toted around through much of the game). Thankfully, there weren't endless worthless games and puzzles to solve, and for the most part the game made sense and was easy to navigate. Satisfying.

extremely rewarding 2008-02-23
Comparing this to many of the Agatha Christie gmes this is a sure winner. A bit difficult but the challenge, video, and characters made it a rewarding challenge.
If you like role playing and solving puzzles this is a good game to get!
I highly recommend it to mature people looking for a new genre of game and simulation!

Not worthy of the Agatha Christie name 2008-01-18
I was VERY disappointed with this product. I love Agatha Christie's books, but the ending of this game was certainly not written by her. There is an additional ending once you've completed the game that keeps with the book. The graphics are as advanced as Pac-Mac. If you love Agatha Christie, you'll be very disappointed in this product.

Agatha Christi 2008-01-14
Game is confusing for me. I'v never played a game like this before and could us some help.

Challenging and unpredictable= fun 2008-07-07
First off I have to comment on the few people who've actually complained about the ending being different from the book. DUH! Let go of your ego's that were saddened because you thought you were so clever for "already knowing" who the killer is and then being wrong. Think about how that would affect the game, how you act, what you search for and concentrate on- if you knew the ending.

This game was very fun. I enjoyed it the most when I'd get a slight hint or direction and have to think about how to play it out next. I enjoyed the plot too as it was fun. I also liked the layout. You can still see your whole screen and click on your inventory and it's just presented at the top of the screen. You can also click on documents and books to read some of the printed materials you picked up. You pick up a lot of items along the way and sometimes you have to "disassemble" them to get other items out of them. That was the most fun figuring out and trying to disassemble or combine other items to re-assemble. Definitly keep in mind as many are saying, that you need to be into this type of game to play or it could be incredibly boring.

Some downsides: It was a pain to go all over the island and then back to the house. There should be more actual "short cuts/secret tunnels" or quick links to say "go to..."

I have no idea how anyone could ever solve this without a cheat. It is very fun to have a slight hint of direcion and still challenging to figure out how to follow that direction or hint- but very often you have no hint or direction and could wonder the whole island and house all day with no avail.

Also, if you pay close attention to everything that was said, sometimes there are little clues and what to investigate next. Unfortunatly, if someone walks in the room or calls you- while they are talking and you miss what they said, I couldn't find a way to replay what they said. Also, the words show on the screen and then they are also said aloud. I read faster than they speak and I would like to move on after- but you have to wait for them to say the whole thing.

worth the price 2008-05-25
the graphics are fair and the story line is good, for a murder mystery. the characters do walk slow and, like the back of the cover says, there is foul language. the foul language is a little more there than the violence. besides that it's a pretty good game.

A highly devleoped mystery game. 2008-03-28
The game is somewhat differnet from the origanol novel. You can gather clues to solve the mystery, and try to prevent one death or two or just be the solve suvivour of the game. You can also interact with the guest.

False Advertisement !!!! 2008-03-18
The person that put 'AGATHA CHRISTIE & TRUE CRIME on Amazon to sell has no idea of what their doing. The main reason i bought these 2 games is because it "said" that it's WINDOWS VISTA COMPATABLE, which it's not! How unbelieveable is that. Not only that it took 7 days to get here when E-bay you get your stuff within 3 days of purchasing the product. Last but not least i gotta return this product because the seller has no f****** clue what their advertising. What a waste of time this was.... E-BAY ALL THE WAY!!!

good 2008-03-11
Pretty good game. Drawback; if you do tasks out of sequence, the game gets stuck in the same day. Save game often.
