my daughter loved it

My daughter had to have one of these after seeing her friend's. She loves the interface and additional space over her old iRiver U10, and despite the fact I knew we ordered it used, the product was in such great condition it wasn't possible to tell the difference looking at it. Saved lots of $$, happy daughter, and very fast shipping.

I love this player. It is cool to look at and to hold but that isn't the most important thing about it for me. It is the sound. The music you play on this MP3 player will sound fantastic. I don't think you could get better sound reproduction anywhere.
The reason I didn't give it 5 stars: I do wish it had a loop on it and that it had come with a case. But even so I would buy it again.
Cool MP3 2008-04-15
The samsung k3 is really cool. Sound quality is is tremendous. The earphones that came with it tend to fall off my ear, the playlist feature wasn't available you have to download the firmware for it, drag, other then that
it's a great mp3 and is easy to upload tracks just drag and drop.
Sleek, Great Quality, Good Looking 2008-04-09
From when I looked at the reviews till the day I bought and received this product, I knew I would love it. It really is the best looking MP3 player I've ever seen and it really is great quality - in sound, graphics, functions, and easiness to use.
In my opinion, I prefer the sound quality in this MP3 rather than the IPOD NANO mainly because the bass, music, and voice quality is clearer, more defined, and sounds more natural.
The graphics are also very clear but some of the pictures may not look perfectly sharp depending on the size of the picture files (basically because all of the pictures must be resized and reformatted to fit on the player and to be viewable on the small screen).
This player is also very easy to use and is very fast at transferring music into it. You can either use it like a USB drive, or you can use the "Samsung Media Studio" to create playlists, organize, and transfer your files.
To tie everything up, I am very pleased with this product, I use it everyday, and I don't regret buying it!

This MP3 player is very intuitive to learn and use, extremely thin for comfort, and was a terrific decision to purchase. I'm very glad I bought it.

I have been looking for an mp3 player to buy for a while now, and I have really been opposed to the getting the iPod. The biggest issue with not wanting to get an iPod is having to use iTunes to import/export any music. I don't like the program at all. It's too bulky and I am organized enough to import/export my music on my own, the old fashioned way.
Getting the Samsung K3 was an obvious choice due to good reviews and my satisfaction of Samsung products in the past. This was no exception, the sound is crisp, has an equalizer, small, sleek and has an easy interface to navigate.
I had two very small problems with it. The first was that the USB port that it has (for charging and sending/receiving music)is next to the earphone jack. This makes it a little difficult to unplug the usb port from the K3 if your earphones are also in. The second was that my computer wouldn't recognize it when I plugged it in the first time. This was due to my .NET framework not being updated. This was quickly solved once I installed the latest files from the Microsoft .NET site.
The 4GB is well more than enough space for most music listeners. The sound quality is crystal clear (and bass-y), with an adjustable equalizer. I am an audiophile, I am really picky about the sound quality and this exceeded my expectations.
Overall, the quality of this product is awesome. I am satisfied with the choice I made to take the Samsung K3 over the Apple iPod. The price is unbeatable and the quality is superb. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, but also want to get an excellent mp3 player, this is the one for you! (It also has an FM Radio!)
Problem prone Sleek gadget

I bought two of these babies (actually I just returned the 2nd one) for its good looks. iPod's got nothing on this Samsung in the style department, but the problem is it suffers from some quality issues. The touch sensitive controls don't always work, it may go berserk when battery is low (the first one), even when it is showing only half drained, or not responding (the second one), i.e. there is a noticeable delay when you want it to go up or down, if it responds to you at all.

Simple, Beautiful & High Quality 2008-01-14
I got this for xmas, and love it! It's tiny, attractive and sleek as heck! The sound is VERY GOOD. Navigation is easy and self-explanatory, not that I require much where that is concerned nor do I have any basis for comparison. The pad is completely flat and so pressing the buttons does take some getting used to (it's veeeery sensitive; subtle taps are all that's needed - any more than that will take you back more than one menu). The LED display is really kickin', and I'm highly impressed they made something so classy looking with the simple (energy efficient!) LED. Everything right down to the box it's shipped in is classy. Go look at the video reviews on YouTube. It's seriously nice.
This also has an FM radio tuner as well as a thing for photos that I haven't fiddled with yet. It will sort all your music by genre if you like, or if you import playlists it can do that as well. You have to put those together in the software before it's transferred over to the device though.
One thing I love about this is that when you're stopped/idle long enough for it to power off, (a time length you can pre-select), this baby picks right back up exactly where you left off. I listen to talk radio, so this is wonderful. Listening time is at least 4 hrs between charges, and the player is charged via USB cord that connects to your computer, not an a/c adapter.
The software they include for this is extremely user friendly, nice looking, and easy to use. Like the player itself, I never needed to refer to the user manual or the help menus at all - it was all completely self-explanatory. Samsung must know this, since the quick start guide they include is very brief. Another really nice thing about the software is that it tells you how much of your alloted space on the player has been used.
Did I mention this thing's got style, and is really sweet looking? Probably, but worth repeating. I got the Eco-nique case to go with it, which I've mostly been happy with. I like the fact that I'm paying for good sound quality and 4 gigs of space, rather than fancy memory-intensive pictures or an overly market-saturated brand name. And yes - I would definitely recommend this player to anyone looking for something simple, beautiful and high quality. It may not have the name recognition (yet), but it's got everything an mp3 player should have IMO - nothing more and nothing less.
