Simple navigation at an affordable price--that's nüvi 250. This entry-level Personal Travel Assistant comes with preloaded maps for North America, including all of the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. For added flexibility, choose nüvi 270 with preloaded maps for both continents or save more with nüvi 200 which offers less map coverage at a lower price. Like all nüvi 200-series members, the 250 features an easy-to-use colorful touchscreen and ultra-slim design--perfect for everyday navigation.

All this is wrapped up in a package that measures 3.8 x 2.8 x .8 inches (W x H x D) and weighs just 5.2 ounces. The nüvi 250's 3.5-inch (diagonal) display is touchscreen-enabled, making it a cinch to control the device with your fingertips. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to five hours of battery life depending on use.

Navigate with Ease
nüvi 250 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator NT street maps, including a hefty points of interest (POIs) database with hotels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and nüvi takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. In addition, nüvi 250 accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs.

Great Investment 2008-06-26
We purchased this for my husband for work. He goes on road calls throught the area and needs the quickest route. I did take it on vacation and it only missed on one turn. It is just the right size to tuck in my glovebox. I would recommend the Garmin Nuvi 250 to anyone.

Be careful when you see the name Optics Planet in the description. Item listed as Trijicon TA31RCM150 Trijicon ACOG Rifle Combat Optic Rifle Scope 4X 32 Red Chevron Matte BAC-M150
List Price: $1,450.00
Price: $34.99

I have seen deals on these scopes before (I also purchased them) and Optics Planet is not honoring the order, saying it is a case, not the scope and telling me that it is my problem and they will send me an "RMA" if I would like. Just be leary if you see a good deal from this company as it is probally not true. I personally don't feel that falsely advertising a sale is the customers problem. Other companies honor misadvertised prices on their products that were purchased prior to the correction. But you will not find that here. Here is a kicker they have modified the ad and now they want me to leave a review on it with the new price.

The Garmin nuvi 250 Is Fun! 2008-06-08
Being new to the GPS world, I was unsure which brand and model to buy. I am happy with my choice, as it is fun and easy to use. The graphics are wonderful, the ease of inputting information is great, and the versatility suits my needs just fine.

Great for the price 2008-06-05
This is my first navigation system and I am very pleased with the Garmin Nuvi 250. I would recommend not putting a screen protector on the Nuvi. After a week of having a screen protector on the Nuvi it started to freeze up and I didn't know why. I realized that the screen protector was the problem. As soon as I removed the screen protector it went back to normal.

Garmin nüvi 250 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator

This is an excellent device. I have been using for the past three weeks and have no complaints about the GPS navigation. However, one thing I have noticed is that the battery life is not that great, and that purchasing the optional wall AC adapter is practically a must, otherwise the unit must be plugged into the 12-Volt port in your car - the only other way to charge the device.

Awesome for travel 2008-07-23
I bought this for extensive travel in Southern California this summer and it has been wonderful. I have not needed a map at all--just download the updated maps from the Garmin website and you are set. You can also use settings to avoid freeways, etc., which has been nice for seeing more of Los Angeles. If you screw up and make a wrong turn, it automatically recalculates to find an new route. I am recommending this to all of my friends. Anyone who says they are "directionally challenged" while driving should have one of these.

This product works great, it just seems as though the battery doesn't lat 5 hours like it says it does...other than that, it's great!

CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT 2008-07-22
I always thought I knew LA well. That I could get anywhere with a Thomas Guide. SSSSOOOOOOO wrong. This takes away all stress. If you take a different road, at first it tries to get you back to the original route, but eventually it accepts your new route and helps you from there. And the British accent is AWESOME!

Grrrrreat product! 2008-07-11
Garman came exactly how I ordered it. It is a wonderful gadget, I wonder how I've lived so long without one!

Great product 2008-06-28
The product works just as advertised. The size is great in that it can fit in a pocket. But you should have the accessory case, that I did buy. One complaint is that in order to register the product you have to do it online and through the device itself. That menas you need a "mini-usb" cable that is an accessory. I ordered it through Amazon with no problem. But it should come with the product. It cost about $10.00 from Amazon. I still have been unable to connect to Garmin with the cable and contacting support has been impossible..
