Customer Reviews
fisher price should be ashamed
2008-12-26
Just got this as a gift for our twin 19month old boys. We were as excited as they were - until we tried to put it together. I cannot believe Fisher Price produces such junk. None of the parts pop in as they should. Absolute complete waste of time, money and plastic. Now, we'll have to spend time calling the company to make good on the this - after reading these reviews, we'll ask for a voucher instead of the same toy. Do not purchase this product.
THIS IS CRAP!

I got this as a gift for my son. It fell apart so many times we eventually just threw it away. The tracks literally just fell apart and wouldn't stay put. My son was 2 at the time and was not being destructive with it. It is a TOTAL waste of money.
GREAT for the Elmo lover!

I was very apprehensive receiving this toy after all the negative reviews.
I am so glad we got it! My son is 18 months and LOVES ELMO!
One thing I made sure to do after reading reviews and REALLY snap the pieces together firmly. There are a couple of pieces of mine that dont attach firmly but they cause no issues. One is the little Green ramp that goes under the the big ramp. And the 2 legs for the big ramps. Personanly I think my son loves pulling them off and it takes 2 seconds to pop them back on. They do not affect the intended fun of the toy for a child IMO.
Our cars have worked perfectly from the begining. Definatley gets 2 thumbs up from our little Elmo fan. He will sit play with this for quite a good span for an 18 month old boy.
What a disappointment

We bought this toy for our son Christmas of 2007. I always like to unpack the toys before we wrap them and I couldn't even get the toy to stay together. I returned it and picked up another one, and it stayed together so I wrapped it. When my little boy, then 1 1/2 played with it on Christmas, it fell apart. The ramps do not stay on, and the support legs are virtually useless. This was the same problem for both toys. Our son still liked it so we kept it, but it is really a cheaply made toy, which suprised me coming from Fisher Price. I would not recommend this toy.
Who doesn't love a good Sesame Street toy?

Bought this toy as a gift last Christmas, and it is still a favorite. It doesn't have much educational value (sorry Sesame Workshop), but it is a good fun toy that promotes play. Each character's section has a little touch pad, and when the car (or a hand) comes down over it, the character says a silly little phrase. The sound quality is great--not like the exorcist toys I grew up with in the 80s. Seems like a simple toy, but he enjoy it and it keeps his eyes off the TV, so that's good.
Don't waste your money

Four familiar friends invite preschoolers to explore this adorable garage. Pull the cars up to the Bert gas station; then ride the Elmo elevator to the top. The platform tips forward so the cars can race down the Cookie Monster speedway ramp or enter the Ernie car wash ramp. Fun phrases from each character accompany all the action. Requires 3 "AA" batteries, included. Measures 7.75"L x 19"W x 9.25"H.
Cute and fun but falls apart

My daughter likes to use the elevator with the toys but the ramps in the back come apart from the toy very easily and I'm constantly putting them back on.
Glue the ramps

Okay, so sometimes I buy on impulse and don't research on Amazon first. I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr old for Christmas 2008.
Yes, the ramps fall off.. ALL the time. I finally got out some silicone glue and glued them on. They have been on for a few weeks and my little one LOVES playing with the garage and I LOVE not having to put the ramps back on every 15 minutes.
Our cars roll down the ramp fine and stay on the elevator, unlike some other reviewers.
I would have rather purchased one of the other Giggle N Go sets, but since I have this one, I wanted to make it work.
Fisher Price corrected problem
2008-01-12
I too agreed with the majority of posts. Piece of junk, wont stay together, etc. Returned the first, same problem with the second. I called Fisher Price and explained the situation. They sent one out to me and it works great! My kids fight over it and it still stays together. A bit of a pain in the neck to get one that would assemble correctly (kids played with the first as best they could until the second one came) but Fisher Price made good on it. Everyone with problems should contact the company!
Disappointed at first, but does stay together if assembled correctly!

My 17 month-old son got the Giggle 'N Go Garage from his grandmother for Christmas, and we were really disappointed in the build quality. The blue ramp would not snap into place and stay, it seemed to be molded wrong. We returned it and got another one, thinking ours was defective; but the second one seemed even worse. I was about to resort to super glue and screws, when I pushed down REALLY hard on the green support bracket for the top of the ramps, and it snapped into place securely. From then on, the ramps fit correctly and seem to stay put. The little orange and blue ramp posts still float off the floor, and want to fall out (they may get a dab of glue) but it seems to be holding together. I would suggest to anyone who still has this toy, and is really frustrated, to try and snap in that green bracket.
