Did not last..

We had this toy for a little over 4 months and it just stopped working. It wasn't even used daily. It started acting funny, the lights would go out and the music would slur so I thought the batteries were getting low. I replaced the batteries with all new Energizer brand batteries and it seemed to work okay. 2 days later it won't even come on..

Only giving this 2 stars because when used in a room that has a TV, the TV's remote will turn on/off this device every time you change the volume!..should have gone through better Q/A so as to not interfere with other components (for those of us who start off the baby in our room and also have a TV in our room..).

My babies and kids love this so much. They got to where they could push the button themselves (sooth themselves) which was great. My daughter loved it so much we figured out a way to hand it on her toddler bed. We had the older vesion but I'm assuming this is just as great or better.
Calming & Pleasant! 2008-09-25
This aquarium plays great lullabies that are soothing and not annoying, especially since it will run over and over for about 20 minutes or so before shutting off. Some of the songs include.. Braham's Lullaby, Twinkle Twinkle, Pachabel's canon...plus there are ocean & bubble sounds if you need just white noise! The moving bubbles and lights captivate my daughter for at least another 20 minutes.
One important thing is that the straps aren't very long, so it only attached to the head of her crib, and it was too short to fit the crib on the sides (which would have been more ideal for her to see). I warn you if you have a crib that has has more angled & thick ledges, as ours does. For example, the lip of the crib is approx 4-5 inch wide. Also, the directions say that the aquarium needs to be at least 6 inches above the mattress. Take that into consideration...we had to have our mattress set lower to accommodate the aquarium.

Our baby has used this since two months old in her crib at bedtime and naps she is entertained by it until she falls asleep. Prefers the sound of the ocean over the music. Great product.

Overall the toy/mobile is great. However, it would have been nice to have the option not to play the music and only use the night light.

This is a great toy. I have a 19 month old and a 6 month old, so I purchased one for each.
My 19 month old loves it. It plays several, soft, different melodies and the water bubbles softly as the fish and the crab gently sway in the water.
I tied it to his crib, down at his level, so he can watch it lying down (After about 1 week, I found this is not a good idea because my son steps on it and tries to get out of his crib... the little bugger!). He learned how to turn it on and off by himself immediately. I'm surprised it fits our crib (most things don't) because we have a 4 in 1 convertible. But no problems at all.
I can hear my son at night turning it on and off, which is awesome. It means I don't have to get up and do it.
Someone mentioned that her tv remote control could control the aquarium. It's true!! Last night while pushing the button to rewind live tv (we have DirecTV) the aquarium kept turning on. That's weird but it is a little funny.
To those who complain that it runs the batteries down. Ours played all day and all night and the batteries are still running.
Others have also suggested this should come with an ac adapter. I don't know about you, but I would not want to place this in my baby's crib with a cord attached to it.
I'd rather change batteries ten times a day than risk my baby "playing" with an electrical cord that's still plugged in, only because I wanted to save on batteries.

This toy has helped my son to identify a fish and plays soothing music at bedtime. He looks forward to watching the fish and the bubbles and it makes nightime so much more enjoyable.
