What else can go wrong? 2008-03-21
It looked good--but when I plugged it in, the charge light wouldn't stop flashing. I unplugged it--did all the things customer service told me to do--no luck. Now it won't take my message retrieval code. And I can't find the box with the warranty

Broken in less than a month 2008-02-22
I bought this phone because I needed a cordless phone/answering machine combo without a lot of fancy extras. In less than one month the answering machine portion is dead - no power, will not work, completely broken. Do not waste your money.

GE cordless phone with answering machine 2008-02-16
I like the looks, the sound, and the features on this phone with one exception. Other phones have a directory for your friends numbers which is alphabetical and easy to access. This phone you assign your friend with a number. So when you push 1, that is Sue; when you push 2, that is Mary; 3 is John; 4 is Tom. It is hard to remember where to find a number.

Overall Great Phone System Has It All 2007-10-02
I bought this phone to replace another brand phone I had purchase a month earlier that was terrible. I already had an answering machine and caller ID box, but decided to go for the GE that had it all. The sound quality is fantastic - I can hear everyone like they are in the room with me - no more "huh, what did you say - can't hear you!" The answering machine is easy to set up and the message are played back clearly. The caller ID shows up on the handset when the phone rings and you can scroll through the other calls directly on the handset. It's compact and takes up very minimal space and can be desk or wall mounted. I have had GE products in the past and have generally been pleased with them.

did not like the phone 2008-07-12

Excellent phone 2008-04-28
This is such a good deal, it has great reception and is easy to use. No problems.

Handset is a white turd 2008-04-23
Handset and base are sturdily built, but even set at the highest volume it's still difficult to hear who you're talking to, and the sound is muffled, not very clear at all. Also, as is true of almost all cordless phones, each time you press a button it beeps. And with this phone those beeps are loud and can't be turned off. I called customer service to see if I could turn the beeps off and was told they can't be. Also, the batteries are the expensive battery pack type not AAA or AA, and they're Ni-Cad which are toxic to the environment. Don't know why they don't just supply NiMh. BTW, the light in the upper left hand of the handset does not stay lit or flash constantly as is the case with some phones which can be annoying. It only lights when the phone rings.

Great Phone!! 2008-04-17
