Panasonic Plasma , Awesome TV, 2008-03-15
I bought this TV back in July. It is the best purchase I've made. I am a supporter of Panasonic products, and this TV surely lives up to my expectations. I was debating between the Samsung and this one, and when you broke it down, the Panasonic had the same features at a better price then the Samsung. Overall the picture quality is amazing, HD is amazing, the menus are user friendly. What I also liked about this TV is compared to a lot of the other Plasma's I looked at, the heat output from this unit is by far the least. I know some of my friends who have plasmas and you can feel the heat radiating off of it as soon as you enter the room. I highly recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a good tv and a decent price.

Fantastic HD Television 2008-03-01
I spent countless hours researching the best options for HDTVs and looking at and testing different models, both LCD and plasma and by far plasma takes the cake for normal TV and movie viewing at home. This Panasonic plasma is one of the best. Like others I had seen HDTVs where people actually didn't use them to watch SD because they looked so awful. I have been very impressed with the quality of SD content on this TV. I know one difference is that I am getting off the air channels and not cable which makes a huge difference. Because of the compression on the cable or satellite it makes the image worse, even HD content on cable is worse, picture-wise, than OTA signal. Overall this is an amazing TV with very good picture. You would not be disappointed with this TV.

Pros:
One of the best reproductions of SD content of any HDTVs
Sound quality is great for hidden speakers
Good stand (I was able to customize my installation without needing to purchase a separate mount)
Very slick looks

Cons:
Picture on analog SD not as good as an analog CRT
Have to re-scan channels when power is disconnected
Input naming not customizable, you have to choose from a preset list

I have thoroughly enjoyed this TV and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a flat panel for normal home viewing.

Blinking red light of death 2008-03-01
Reserched flat screens for over a year, finally decided on the Panny TH42PX75U. The price was right. Now I know why. Everything was groovy until the other night when just settling into a movie there was a loud "pop" and all went dead. Then started the blinking red light. 10 times then pause. Lucky its under warrenty, so a repairman is coming. Seven days later! I went on line and googled Panasonic and blinking red light, low and behold im not the first and wont be the last. Buyer beware of this brand. You might get lucky, you might not. At least before you put down 1300 dollars google the blinking red light issue then make your own choice.

NIce! 2008-06-12
I simply love it! HD TVs are awsome!
If the closed captions could function while using the HD feed (for regular TV or cable, not DVD or other feed like this) this TV would be perfect.I think this is because this technology stills developing.
If you are one of those who don't really mind the CC's not coming up on you TV, then is the perfect TV for you!

Plasma TV 2008-04-05
I orderd this Item 42PX75u over the internet and the item came 3 days early on shipping and we plug the set into our Dish network. We have the clearest picture I have seen on a TV . I would recommend it highly and also amazon. com. P Erwin

AWESOME TV 2008-04-02
This TV has far exceeded our expectations! The picture quality is excellent...esp. with an HDMI cable. I definitely don't feel anything is lacking since this is 'only' 720p. I can't see how the picture could be any better! The sound quality is superb as well, even when not running it thru the home theater system. And, even though this model does not feature an anti-glare or anti-reflective filter/screen like the updated model does, it poses no problems. We have a wall of windows, and once the TV is on, you can't notice the glare, except for on the bezel.

All in all, this was a great purchase, esp. for under $1000. It is definitely worth the money. Oh, and the white glove delivery was great, too.

Great picture, sound, and looks. 2008-03-29
I absolutely love this television. It has 2 HDMI, 2 Composite and 2 component inputs which allows me to hook up 3 different gaming consoles along with my Dish Network all at once.

At first the picture is a little to blurry for my taste on standard definition channels. But if you play with the picture settings you make sure you dont stretch to fit, you can make it look very nice. And the HD channels are amazing! I was going to buy a surround sound system but in my apartment the speakers on the tv are suffucient.

Like many others i have done extensive research on which tv to buy and based on price and specifications i was correct, THIS IS THE BEST TV YOU CAN BUY FOR YOUR MONEY!
