Editorial Review
What makes the Panasonic DVD-LS80 stand out among all the portable DVD players is the remarkably versatile multi-angle 8.5" LCD widescreen. It makes viewing easier in both common and unusual situations. After all, it's the view that is the prime function!
The large 8.5" widescreen display pivots for multi-angle viewing so you can adjust the position for optimum comfort and image quality. You can also adjust the screen brightness to get the best view of your DVDs in all kinds of light conditions. You get beautiful images while watching movies on a dimly lit airplane, or when you're relaxing in the sun at a resort or other outdoor spot. When you're in the mood for a movie, this versatile player can play back many different types of prerecorded DVDs, including DVD-RAM/-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW discs. If you want to give your eyes a rest and listen to some tunes instead, our portable DVD player handles lots of the most popular audio formats around, including CDs, MP3 - CD, CD-R/RW discs and WMA files. A built-in rechargeable battery that gives you a up to six hours of playback, long enough to catch a couple of movies on a single battery charge. After all, what good is portability if you can't use it while you're outdoors? This can! What's All the Fuss about the Moonlight Mode? 2008-03-29
When I bought this product, I was a little wary, having read reviews about using the Moonlight mode to save on battery life. Someone said it was comparable to a dark screen. Not true! It works fine in Moonlight mode; in fact, I used the Moonlight mode to watch the screen (plugged in, not using the battery) in bed. This is a good product, and I would buy it again.

Great Device 2008-03-27
I am a frequent traveler and bought the DVD player to use while on the road. It is great. It is light weight and small enough to fit in any size carry-on bag. The picture quality is fabulous. One of my best buys in months.

Marketing deceiving! Needs additional $60-100 battery 2008-03-21
A previous reviewer is correct on all counts. Marketing is down-right lying on this packaging. This DVD player lasts only about 2.8 hours on the provided battery. The 6-hour advertising was the reason I purchased. You must purchase another long life battery to get the six-hour time. I think it's a CGR-711 battery.

this was cool 2008-02-25
I use this at work while folding clothes and its a great picture well worth my money and the thing that would make it better is a remote other then that I give it 5 stars

Worth the money 2008-02-25
I bought this as a gift for someone so i briefly checked it out and it seem perfect. Its very light and the battery life is excellent. However would have been perfect to have a remote like the other little ones. Otherwise its worth the money. And the person seem to like it alot as well.

Portable DVD Player 2008-06-12
Purchased this to use on the airplane but I am a bit disappointed. The battery life is marginal. I have to increase the speed of playback to watch an entire movie of around 2 hours. I decreased the brightness as suggested but then the picture is difficult to view. Other than the battery life, the unit works great!

Great deal 2008-05-21
Very convenenient alternative to larger DVD player connected to TV. Price was great and have enjoyed the DVD player. Picture could be sharper and audio more crisp but for the money it's fine.

I Use It Daily 2008-05-01
I bought this product as a desktop companion when I am working, editing, or just enjoying my computer. I use it everyday, I use it for hours and it works wonderfully. I use the headphone feature for the best sound and it plays DVD's and DVD-recordables. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Far more than adequate 2008-04-25
Kids on a plane. What more do you really need this for? It does that job quite nicely and works as advertised. No complaints. but the cost has gone up $100. Why, when a newer model is now available?

Love this DVD player! 2008-04-12
I have enjoyed this product. I took it on a recent trip and I watched two full-length movies on the airplane, and still had ample battery life left. I did have the settings on "moonlight" and a .5 brightness, but I thought the screen was still very clear. It is very light and portable. As someone who was looking for a quality product to pass the time in the airports and on the airplanes, this is a perfect product.
