Wow! I don't understand how it works, but it does!!

This is amazing! After just 2 weeks of using this product, we aren't there just yet, but the progress has been incredible! My son is able to use it himself and WANTS to use it.

We have a 6 year old son and were very skeptical when we ordered this product. Some of the other reviews I read on this website sounded too good to be true. As recommended in another review, we bought the model with both sound and vibration. In the first week, there were 3 days when our son was wet. Thereafter, the wetness decreased to spot sizes of less than 2 inches within the first week. Within two weeks, he started having totally dry days and also days when he would wake up on his own and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night....Something that had never happened in all these years. He has been continuously dry for almost 10 days in a row. This product has worked like a miracle. We had tried everything earlier.....like decreasing fluid intake, taking him to the bathroom periodically in the middle of the night and losing sleep forever. However, nothing ever worked. This product has restored our sleep and we can cut down on all the laundry costs associated with wetness. This investment is definitely worth every single penny and more. The sound from the alarm is not too loud. So, we would strongly recommend the vibration option.

I was very skeptical about this working for my 6 and 1/2 year old daughter. She wore a Good Night pull up/diaper to bed every night and every morning woke up wet. She urinates frequently daily (more than normal, I think) so I thought she had a overactive bladder. Anyway, after many hours of agonizing research, I decided on this alarm. I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions I have made for my daughter. She has been using it for two months, and rarely sets it off. Sometimes she goes the whole night and often she wakes up on her own between 1 and 3 a.m. After she urinates we take off the alarm because we now know that she only goes once a night. The first few weeks she set it off once a night about 3/4 of the nights. We were getting ready to try a night without it but she set it off again. I don't want to rush it and then hinder progress. She is used to wearing it and it is a simple addition to our bedtime routine. It is lightweight and simple to use. I can't even begin to explain how much this has helped her confidence in so many areas! I knew it bothered her but now I realize how important it really was to her. The price of this alarm was well worth what it has done for my daughter. I never write customer reviews, but I feel passionate enough about this to do so. I hope that this information might help another concerned parent decide to get this alarm to help their child.
AMAZED at how quick this alarm helped my sons bedwetting! 2008-02-16
I wished I would have bought this alarm months ago. At 6 1/2 years old my son seemed to be wetting the bed at night more than he had when he was younger. He is a very heavy sleeper, we would bring him to the bathroom before we went to sleep for the night, and again if my husband or I woke up during the night. None of this helped and we were tired from not getting a full nights rest. And so was our son from being disturbed by either us waking him or waking up wet. We are 5 weeks into using the alarm and he has been dry 6 out of 7 nights a week. And has been that way after the first 2 weeks. During the first 2 weeks we were shocked that the alarm woke him and he went straight to the bathroom. Sometimes he was already soaked but most of the time only a little wetness set off the alarm and the rest of his bladder was emptied in the toilet. We are confident in a few more weeks he will have out grown wetting the bed all together. It has broke him of his heavy sleeping in a way we could not have done ourselves.
Almost Unbelieveable 2008-01-24
My 8 year old daughter has wet the bed every night since she was born. We've tried medication, limiting liquids, getting her up to go at night, nothing worked. I bought the alarm, even though it was more than I would've liked to spend, because of all the good feedback. I researched using the alarms before purchasing and they were advised on many medical/bedwetting sites. Well, quite simply, it worked literally like magic. My daughter sounded the alarm once or twice a night for the first 5 nights and then perfect silence. She has been dry for 3 weeks now. After 2 weeks of being dry using the alarm regardless, in case of an accident, I unplugged her and this last week she's continued to get up on her own. I can't explain how it worked so very quickly, it just did. 5 DAYS of training after years of messes! They say the older the child the faster it works (typically of course). I wonder how many months I might have saved myself from the horrible smelling sheets if I would've looked into this sooner. I hope the rest of you parents try it and hope that it works just as well for you!

We purchased this for our 9 year old son who has rarely had a dry night in his life. We tried another alarm 2 years ago that had a big pad type device he had to place in his pullup, it was very uncomfortable and once wet could not be used again that night and also trying to clean and dry it privately without siblings seeing it was rough. With this one the results were unbelievable, we had him wear a pair of underwear clip it on and wear another pair of underwear over it, because they suggest the clip (which is very small and never bothered him) needed to be between two fabrics. He woke to the alarm (which we used alarm with vibration) very wet 2 times a night for 3 days and then the rest of the week he was waking twice a night to the alarm with barely a wet spot, the second week he woke once a night for 2 days to the alarm very wet and a couple totally dry nights and barely wet nights. This was also the case for week three. My son has now been DRY for 2 1/2 months. I can't tell you how proud this has made him, and giving him his freedom from worry that someone would find out, I am so grateful. My son also who never could hear the other alarm never had a problem waking to this on his own, he even ended up in the final week just using the vibration. It amazed me how sensitive the alarm was to pick up just a hint of wetness and how my son would stop and wake up. This has changed our lives.

Wow did that work fast. We reluctanly bought the alarm for our 5 1/2 year old on the advice of our doctor. Within two weeks, our son had all dry nights. We started using it with all the sounds and the vibration; it scared the heck out of him. We had to negotiate it back on him for over an hour. The next night we switched to using just the vibration with mixed results for the next ten days. The we put back just the single tone with the vibration combined with having our son use the bathroom twice, thirty minutes apart before bed and magically it all worked. He has been dry for more than two weeks now.
It works but is pricey 2008-06-20
We tried many things before we bought it. No drinks after 8PM, alarm at 1AM for months, and we even brought our kid to see doctor. We were skeptical about it first, but I am glad we bought it. After trying it on for 3 weeks, our 6 year old finally is free of diapers. I think it is very expensive, mainly because there is not a lot of products out there. However, it really does work.

Prior to using this product I could have counted the mornings that my 10 year old son woke up dry on one hand. Our pediatrician had advised us to limit liquids, take him to the bathroom in the middle of the night, blah,blah,blah- which didn't help. He said my son would eventually grow out of it. It wasn't until a friend of mine mentioned that his son had had success using a bedwetting alarm that I even knew that such a thing existed. After looking online and reading the reviews I knew that I wanted the Malem alarm. When I told my son about it he was very excited to know that he could be cured of wetting the bed and he asked me everyday when it would be arriving.
We have been using this for three weeks and while he isn't dry every night yet, we are definitely getting there. This week he has had four dry nights in a row-quite an achievement for someone who had been waking up with a fully saturated good-nite every morning. Even on the nights that he does have an accident (a very small amount of urine) the alarm wakes him right up and he goes into the bathroom to finish his business. I am fully confident that in the next few weeks he will be dry every night.
He started out sleeping on the floor in my bedroom and we used regular underwear with a good nite over the top of them to keep from having wet blankets. After the first few nights he was able to turn the alarm off, change into dry clothing and reset the alarm without any help.
I wish so much that I had known about this great product years ago. It has been such a blow to his self-esteem knowing that his six year old sister could stay dry at night but that he had to wear a good-nite. I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about bedwetting alarms, but this great product has made me a believer.

At the beggining, as most things in life, you need to be pacience, but then, you see that in every aspect the device works including the psicological aspect. I recommend this purchase.
