I was in need of a cane that didn't look like it came from the hospital store room. Since I'm stuck having to use a cane, I wanted some fun choices to pick from at home. I hunted Amazon and found 3 different canes that fit the bill. This is 1 of 3 canes I found and purchased from Amazon. I was so surprised and pleased that all 3 arrived at the same time, and were packaged separately. I purchased this item in the wood grain tone, and found it to be very nice, sturdy but yet light weight, and not a scratch on it. The only trouble I had was removing the sticky labels. After wrapping a hot, moist dish cloth around the labels and letting it soak until cool, the labels came off; but I had to repeat the process a couple more times to remove the sticker glue. If you're hunting for a 'designer' cane to replace those not so pretty hospital gray canes, then I would suggest trying one of these...with a number of colors to pick from. The 'wood grain' turned out to be more on the reddish side with a wood grain design. But all in all, a very nice cane and a great price. I keep this one in my car for long shopping days.
Oh, the disappointment!

I was very much looking forward to the darker woodgrain color shown above (compared to the lighter-seeming "birdseye" cane), but still a neutral brown, but I wound up getting a much redder-hued cane covered with 3 large stickers which will, of course, leave gummy-junk behind. However, it's VERY comfortable (which is great for a bad fibromyalgia day in a stair-filled work environment) and it's adjustable (which is great for a woman wearing shoes with soles/heels of different heights), and it's still rather professional in tone. I'm going to wait, though, before I decide whether I keep or exchange it.

I wish I didn't need a cane, but if you do too you won't go wrong in ordering this one. This one is so pretty and the handle is very comfortable. I not only thing it's pretty but it works great.
