Nice looking and small, but a very tight fit 2008-05-02
I bought this case for a Casio-Exilim EX-Z80 camera.
It is small and looks very nice (5-stars for appearance)
However, there are some things that are not so good:
It has a very tight fit on this particular camera.
At times I wonder if I am not going to damage the camera pushing it in too hard. Now this camera is one of the smallest on the market, so if this barely fits, how is anyone going to use it if the camera is a little larger?
It does have elastic bands on the sides, which should expand to allow thicker cameras to go in, but they are very stiff. I just hope that in time the elastic will loosen somewhat.
Also, they put a label inside on the back wall (just the Case Logic logo) but they sew it on, so the camera is rubbing, pushing, and hanging on it every time you put it in or take it out.
Also, at the bottom of the case, inside, there is a band of material, loose mounted, that supposedly should protect the camera from shocks from the bottom, but it also does not allow the camera to go in all the way.
Therefore, I would give it a 3 stars for the design/features.
And last, it comes with a strap (adjustable lanyard they call it) which is unusable due to the poor quality of the hook. It is made of a cheap plastic and it just would not close safely, so it comes off all the time as the case's loop is made of fabric and slides right off. In fact the camera dropped a couple of times when it came loose. Just one minute ago, I was looking at the case and turned it around and the cord fell off. So I would not trust my camera to that strap hook.
Also, although the strap is adjustable, you can not make it shorter than about 21 inches. So forget about having it wrapped around your wrist for quick access. The only safe way to carry it is on your belt as it has a belt loop in the back.
Because of this I would give it a 4 star for quality of the case and 1 star for the strap.
However, for the under $10 price it does make it a good value.
Nevertheless, just a few minor changes in design would have made it a great case without adding anything to the cost. So value to me is at the best a 4-star.
That averages to 3.4 stars...

Review: ... "Click! The No Nonsense Guide to Digital Cameras" is misnamed. It covers a lot more than just cameras. In a couple of hundred pages, it includes using a scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 to rescue faded, damaged family photos, the basic guidelines to good picture taking, how to use Elements 2 to improve your digital photos, and how to print and preserve your pictures for the ages. White, the author of the bestseller "How Computers Work," knows how to pack a lot of helpful, understandable information in a brief no nonsense book.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

From the Back Cover The megapixel hype
The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has…. An image sensor is simply one component of an entire system that produces a digital photograph… So resist buying into the megapixel hype when you’re choosing a digital camera. From Chapter 1
