Fun little device

It is fun, but little. The speaker volume is not as great as I would have liked, but works.

Sounds OK For Ambient Music

This little speaker unit will never take the place of good quality earphones, but if you just want your iPod playing in the background or you want to listen to your recorded book selection, then this will work for you. The unit is small and lightweight (which is why the sound is small and lightweight,) but easy to take with you in the car, to the campground, to the dorm, anywhere you want to share your downloaded audio selections. It's powered by either 4 AA batteries, by the included automobile adapter or from the 110 volt AC adapter, also included, making the Audio Station very versatile and a handy iPod Shuffle 2G accessory. One other point - it "runs" on it's own power, whatever the source, and does not drain power from your iPod. I read somewhere that it charged the Shuffle just like a regular dock, but could not find technical documentation to verify this.

Good sound for the size

I bought this for my husbands birthday, and he was very impressed with the sound from such a small machine. He just wanted something to listen to his music around the house and this did the trick. We both were happy with this, the price you cannot beat. At Christmas I bought my son a $75 speakers, and it already does not work and did not sound as good as this.

Nice Speaker for Price

We were overall pleased with this speaker, and we liked that it comes with an adapter cord so you can connect other MP3 players (like my husband's Sony) to these speakers.

I really enjoy this little speaker. I was surprised that it sounded this good for the money. It has several different functions. You can plug it into an electrical outlet, run it on batteries, or use it to charge your iPod. I was really impressed with all you get. It does exactly what it says on the description, plus a little more. Love it! Thanks for a good product.

Good sound

Not bad

It's not easy to find accessories for the Shuffle so I was glad to find this. The sound quality is so-so. It's OK at lower volume, but there is distortion at higher volume levels. Still, for the money it's not bad.

Does not charge iPod Shuffle

I bought this product to play "white noise" on my iPod Shuffle while sleeping at night.

Contrary to what's mentioned in some other reviews, the speakers I received did not charge my iPod Shuffle. I could only play the Shuffle as long as its battery lasted - only a few hours, not the entire night.

I've written to the seller to understand whether I received a defective unit or not, but haven't heard back.

So, if you'd like to play music for several hours on your Shuffle, you might want to look for other products. I'm considering the "Creative TravelSound i50 Speaker Dock for iPod shuffle", also sold on Amazon.

Good for price but no volume control!

Good speaker for the price and great that it comes with car charger but it does not have any volume control and it's not as compact (flat) as I thought it would be. Overall it's still a decent speaker for the price.

This is a decent product for the price. Gets up pretty loud, but naturally has very little low end, to the point where even lower vocal harmonies are muddied. Can't beat the price, though, and the car adapter is a very nice touch.
