Waste of money

I have high blood pressure and have had a heart attack 10/1990. Purchased this item hoping, with medication, to better control my B/P. Used this machine faithfully for one year without any noteable results. I exercise regularly and take B/P every morning and record results in a ledger...try to be as clinically accurate as possible. Regular check-ups every six months, so I'm not an amateur. However, if you think this might be some kind of YOGI instrument and a 15-20 mediation with music controlling your breathing would be of some benefit - go for it. But for less than $300 you can listen to soft music, relax, and breathe slowly.
(;o) My advice is to save your money.
May work if you can sit still that long.

I purchased this product in the hope it would be able to naturally lower my mother's blood pressure. We both tried it. Though the program was easy to understand, my mother found it incredibly difficult to copy the breathing. She said she felt like she was always gasping for air and was 'over it' within one or two attempts to complete one 10 minute program. I didn't have any trouble following the program (my pressure is normally 100/60) but found it very boring. Unfortunately, for anyone reading this, I can't say if the program works as she didn't stick with it long enough to find out. I can say, be prepared to clear your mind and schedule of all things except breathing for at least 10 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. I've come to realize that sitting absolutely still without distractions for at least a full 10 minutes, without falling asleep, isn't as easy as one might think.
