Cheap and easy 2008-03-03
There isn't much to say about this device. I have a few ipods, but the one I was bought this for is my shuffle. The tiny dock for the shuffle broke (what a surprise) and I wanted a cheap replacement. I looked around and saw that many were offered. I took my chances with this one and I am happy to say, it works fine. I really have no complaints and would recommend this. I agree with the other user that said this should just be a standard issued cable from Apple, but until then...

Again, why pay more? 2008-01-12
Let's say you lose the ipod shuffle port. For just a few bucks you can replace it with this. Works great and IT'S ALL YOU NEED! I'm amazed how much people will overspend on ipod accessories.

Love Your Shuffle 2008-01-05
I LOVE my ipod shuffle (1st, 2nd and now 3rd gen owner), but I LOATHE the stupid dock the 2d and 3rd come with. It's fragile and skittish to say the least. Do yourself a favor and get this little guy. It's cheap and dependable. What more could you want?

Superior to the Original Apple Equipment 2007-12-23
I was always a bit suspicious of the quality or the original dock that Apple includes with the Shuffle. Its cheaply made and I've heard stories of bent clips on the Shuffle that makes docking it impossible, as it will no longer fit in the dock. This one doesn't have any of the liabilities that the original has. Its better constructed and the input jack plugs directly into the headphone slot w/o need for a form fitting dock as with the original. Best of all, is the price. While the substandard Apple replacement is $29 plus shipping, this one shipped is around $5. The only issue I have with this transaction is that I wish I would have bought two, so I can have a backup.

USB adapter for the iPod Shuffle - Nice backup for less 2007-11-16
The USB Adapter for the iPod Shuffle fills a product need created by Apple. The reality is a similar adapter should have been included with the Shuffle instead of the mini-doc. Or, a standard USB port connection should have been used. Either way, this is a handy accessory for your iPod shuffle, and it works with both 2nd and 3rd generation models.

Pros

This unit is not only smaller than the Apple shuffle dock, it's also cheaper. It's very convenient to have as a backup. Price wise this adapter tends to be the best at less than $0.50.

Cons

Clearly this is a low end accessory. Failure rates are inevitable, so at these prices it pays to buy a few to have a backup. Additionally, secondary USB ports and USB hubs may not work with this one, so you have to use a main port.

This unit is worth a try. If you have the Shuffle, though, it pays to get some version of this adapter.

Enjoy!!!

Charges, and that's it... 2008-06-21
I ordered this to replace my dock station for my iPod shuffle since it's awkward to carry anywhere with you due to its setup. I always felt like I could just break the jack right off if something heavy hit it...
Anyway, I came across this little number and figured it would get the job done. It's very compact, and can easily be rolled up and tucked away like any other cable. No problem right? Wrong. While it works fine for charging, whenever I tried to upload ANY music on the player it would crash and corrupt my iPod. I tried everything thinking it was my connection or perhaps even my player had finally died, but as soon as I broke out my old dock again and reset its software with that I had no problems. Until I tried to use the new cable again...
I only paid a penny for it plus shipping so it isn't like it's that big of a loss, but I still expect products to fulfill the role they claim to play. Sure I can use it with a charger but it's supposed to replace a dock, not be another piece of equipment to lug around.

Works fine, with one problem 2008-06-08
This works exactly fine just as long as you have a usb plug that this will fit properly, i have a total of 10 usb ports, 4 on the mother board and two built in the front of my computer case, none of these fit properly, i have a pci usb hub that works but it is loose. The usb plug on this seems just a bit too long that makes it a little hard to make a proper connection, other wise it is a great replacement for the apple dock that comes with the shuffle.

Doesn't work with iTunes music that resides on a USB drive 2008-05-03
I'm sure the product works fine in most situations. My iTunes music resides on an external USB drive. Whenever I plug this in, it makes my USB drive literally go away, it drops out of site. Powering my drive off/on a couple times gets it back. I thought it was something else, but I've been able to re-create the problem a couple times and I am sure its caused by my iPod using this cable.

Great! 2008-04-21
So, I bought this with the "White - iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation USB Charger Adapter".... and it is very good! The greatest feature is that it charges my shuffle twice as fast as original charger that comes with the purchase.... Apple should've given the consumers this charger instead.

Better than factory cord ! 2008-03-14
I use this cord on my gen 2 shuffle. Factory apple cord broke after 3 months. This cord does it all and is way stronger than apple cord. Way cheeper to!
