Works well, but has some usability Issues

So first things first, the scale works, I have used it to measure beyond 400lb. I have had two problems that give me reservations about recommending this product. First is that the scale is very sensitive to motion, I have to stand very still or the weight will keep jumping, also if one of the feet is not on a level surface (i.e. is on the edge of a tile) the weight will read low. The second problem is actually the more frustrating one. All day-today mode selection is done by pressing your foot on the scale, unfortunately this means that it is easy to mess up. To enter what I call "Just weigh me" mode (without body fat etc.) you need to press on the scale briefly until the display indicates it is in the mode, then take your foot off, if you just get on the scale or take your foot off too late you will be in another mode. To select the user (for body fat% et. al.) you press your foot on the scale until you see your user number, but don't wait too long or you will be stuck on one of the other (9 I think) users, and will have to wait for the scale to reset (several minutes) to try again. All that said the scale looks good and seems to work just fine (I've had mine for coming on a year now.) One last warning, all of these body fat% scales measure using a (very) mild electric current, so you need to have bare feet when using them.

It works fine. A little hard to figure out how to get it to work but once you do, it works fine and when you step on it a few times if comes up with the same results indicating to me that it is accurate.

Finally, an accurate, easy to read scale

The scale is very easy to set up, very easy to read, and did I say easy to clean? Yes, it is. It is reasonably sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing, too. I checked the accuracy of the scale by weighing a known-weight object, and it checks out to an ounce. I am very satisfied with the scale, giving it 5 star rating.

High Capacity Bathroom Scale

This product is a great value and a very good scale. Not only does it accurately measure weight up to 440 lbs. but it also gives you a relative value of Body Fat and Water Percentage. I would recomend this scale to anyone weighing more than 350 lbs. Oh, did I mention that it looks pretty sharp too.

Not very sturdy

The scale works fine, however it is a little tipsy. It seems to tilt if your feet are not properly balanced. Also the battery on my scale ran out a few days after I received it. Replacement Battery was available at walmart for 4.99.

Not Accurate

The scales are simply not an accurate measure of body fat. I know my body fat is at least 10% higher than the scales read. So, I returned them.

Good scale but...

going from profile to profile if you have more than one user is not straightforward, plus I think the degree of accuracy is a little suspect. Nice looking and easy to read dial.

This is a wonderful and easy to use scale!! Like many other customers, we had our user numbers set up and running with in minutes. The manual was easy to understand, contrary to what other users said. There is not an athlete setting - just male and female - despite what Amazon claims.

To just weigh yourself, place your foot on the scale, wait for it to turn on (it shows 88888) remove your foot, and wait for it to set to zero, then weigh. If you're wanting your body fat/water %, you have to use your user number that's specified to your height and age. It seems like many people thought that the body fat/water % feature wasn't working - you have to be in the user setting.

Although this is a high capacity scale, there is no minimum weight for it to be effective. Neither myself nor my boyfriend are over-weight or obese, and the scale works great and accurately for both of us. My favorite part is that it I can track how much body fat I'm losing instead of tracking my pounds lost (when you lose weight you tend to lose muscle too, unless you weight train, in which case you won't see the pounds drop so much as see the fat slide off slowly). I like being able to accurately track my progress based on fat lost.
