I love it. 2008-04-24
This is a really nice product. Very kind to batteries, very portable, goes with me on all runs, walks, bike rides, airplane trips etc. The only complaint is that you can not scroll to find songs. You have to advance one at a time. But what do you want for this price. I have a Zune for my larger collection.

Poor construction 2008-04-12
I got a Coby MP3 player this last September because I happened to need a USB drive, a cheap voice recorder, and a temporary MP3 player (while waiting out the release of the iPod touch) after my old one broke. "All in one for a reasonable price," I thought.

Unfortunately, it no longer works as an MP3 player because the "play" button (the most important button on the device) broke. It's stuck and there's no way to get it unstuck. It's now useless as either an MP3 player or voice recorder.

I only give it two stars (instead of one) because I can still use it as a USB device (though it's a bulky, awkward one compared to others of the same storage capacity).

good product 2008-04-11
been happily using this for 3 months, and suddenly felt bad about not yet promoting this cool item by dropping a review; light, good sound, easy interface, black, less battery consumption, shuffle, nice headphones; get it;

Broke shortly after warranty expired 2008-04-10
Started out as a great, super handy player - but about a month after the warranty expired the on button is stuck and the player no longer works. I wouldn't give this as a gift to anyone ....

MP-C895 Players 2008-03-25
Works fine, audio is satisfactory - on par with my iPOD. The unit is lighter and easier to carry when walking/jogging. Excellent value for the cost. Headphone jack could have been better engineered - the end location is fine but it is interfered with by the plastic loop holder.

Outstanding product, great price 2008-06-22
I have had this product for about five months. I am using it constantly (unlike my ipod). It is very compact - you can take it anywhere. It withstood some moderate abuse. Mostly, I listen to the radio and books on CD that I download from the public library. I was not able to do this with my ipod because of digital rights management. If you need to use this product to transfer data between computers, simply re-name the file as mp3 (or similar). Not sure about the actual battery life, but there are no issues. Both 1.5 V Alcaline and 1.2 V NiMh work fine. Unbelievable functionality to price ratio. It does not look or act cheap even though it is inexpensive.

tough little player 2008-05-29
I purchased this for my 13 year old son for Christmas this year. He can be very hard on things and I was looking for a "starter" player for him. He thought it was fine when he received it... but he lost it in early April when he was snow shoveling. Last week, he found it a few blocks away in a yard. It had been outside all that time(through rain storms and cold)and the thing STILL WORKS! All it needed was a new battery. Amazing!

just perfect for me! 2008-05-21
I love this little guy! Its easy to use, has great sound, & i've had since christmas & use it every single day, nothing has broke & i've had no problems at all with it. I bought this as an alternative to spending so much for the I-pod, & i am so glad that i did! I have over 500 songs at any given time & when i tire of those it's easy to dump those & put on a new playlist, so for this price it's been more than worth it.

Lasted Four Months 2008-05-18
This MP3 player was a very good price/performance choice. My platform of choice for loading it is my Ubuntu Linux desktop, but it worked equally well from Windows. At 2Gb, it held all my current podcasts plus a couple of audio books.

Unfortunately, one month past the warranty expiration, the device expired. It will no longer boot, nor does it turn on when plugged in to a USB port.

sleek design 2008-05-03
I liked this MP3 player for its sleek look and it was really easy to load with music and even to add more music to it.
