I love love love Trey. He gets better and better. What I love about him most is that he sounds even better live. The CD is a MUST have. I love his flirtatious ways, his smooth vocals, his sexXxy style. I want him......sorry, but I do!
He is The Future

Trey Songz is the new sound of R&B. I admit when I first heard Trey I wasn't too fond of him. "Gotta Make It" was not that great of a song to me and his first album was not the real deal like it was hyped up to be. Also after hearing Trey Songz proclaim he was the best guy in R&B right now had me more than skeptical about his 2nd release Trey Day. Then came Wonder Woman...a beautifully masterful Timbaland production (well Danja to be exact). Talk about hypnotic! It made me instantly anticipate the album. It definitely delivered. You can tell that Trey Songz took in the criticism from naysayers such as myself because now every song is enjoyable and masterfully sung. Trey is all grown up and the music and style reflects that. The Last Time has become one of my favorite songs of all time with one of Bryan Michael Cox' best beats and lyrics by Q Amey ( look out for him!) as well as flawless singing from Trey himself. What a classic! Can't Help But Wait, Sex For Yo Stereo, U Got It and We Should Be (another classic! So sensual) round out the list of A+ songs. The album flows perfectly, each song is smooth and sexy. Trey is the cream of the crop right now.
I just gotta make it? Trey, I think you have MADE IT! 3 1/2 stars

Yes, Trey! This is what I'm talking about! This album easily trumps Chris Brown's "Exclusive", The Dream's "Love/Hate", Omarion's "21" and Mario's "Go." Trey Songz is impressive with his sophomore LP, "Trey Day." The "songz" on this album will be in vogue for years to come because it is not just music for right now. Cohesiveness is here from beginning to end. The production is nice and lyrically, he isn't bad at all.
It took me a long time to get into "Can't Help but Wait", but one day, something told me to take a close listen and don't just dismiss it as another song on the radio. The day I took an intense listen is the day I began to take the song for what it was worth. Once I took a real listen, I liked it. Though there is nothing particularly special or memorable about the song, it is solid, especially because of its hook. The song is about seeing a girl being mistreated by her boyfriend, but having no choice but to "wait" until she leaves him. Prince has been inspiring a number of artists lately, and Trey is apparently no exception. "Role Play" has his influence written all over it. "Try some role play/I can do what you say, you can do what I say/I can have it my way" are among its sexual lyrics. "Role Play" is one of this album's best moments and all who own this album will probably have it on repeat, especially when/if being intimate. Trey Songz did most of this album relying on his own talent, but there are one or two guest appearances. Artists receive a lot of respect for limited guest appearance because too many features is a sign of an artist's insecurity. Anyway, Jim Jones lends his talents to the song called "Fly Away." Ironically, the two artists seem to compliment each other and this song is a nice touch.
I was entertained by this album. However, Trey is too lazy with his delivery. If he capitalizes on his vocal talent, he could be a great artist. Aside from that, I have no gripes. I hope R&B lovers are able to get their hands on this album somehow because it's sure to please.

How can you not like this album? People say there's too much rap, too much bootknocking songs-it's called versatility, people! Props to Trey for pumping out songs that help peel chicks' panties off. Fast slow, freaky-the man covers it all. Looking a little deeper, though, dude's writing is tight- check long gone missin' and foreplay for his gift with the pen. A couple of songs arent so serious and a little funny, like sex for your stereo and store run, but trey's running on al cylinders otherwise. This CD's worth the money. He can't bust moves like C Brown, but lyrically he's sharp. Cop it-I guarantee you'll wear the CD out in two seasons.
GREAT CD

If you're not feeling the first single off Trey Songz'
Trey Day, don't give up. "Wonder Woman" is an acquired taste of a track whose techno beats won't sit right with those expecting straight-up R&B. The good news is that, despite some show-offy rap walk-ons and a little over-the-top R. Kelly-style lewdness (see "Grub On," in which our guy seduces his short-order shawty with the line, "Here's a tip/You can be my IHOP--you hop on top of me, I'll hop on top of you"),
Trey Day trots out some gorgeous love songs and lines up top-tier Kelly-, Usher-, and Ne-Yo-reminiscent vocals with the kind of production you'd expect from a far more experienced artist. While the poppy standout "Missing You" pours sweet sentiments into a vocorder, though, the album's more traditional ballads will win over the soft-hearted with plain old well-executed prettiness. "We Should Be," for example, a Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis composition, throws off sparks no 22-year-old singer should be able to set free. But Songz, proving he's an artist well worth punching your credit card numbers in for, lets them rip handily.

Definetly a Must Own

Im telling you...this album is a must own if your a Trey Songz fan. Im a big fan of Trey so you might just think that im hypin this album, but it really is great. I like basically every track on the album. Trey is definetly one of the most under rated R&B artists out there now and if you listen to this album plus all of his mixtapes, you too will agree with me. This dude can sing and rap on the same song...but he'll make it come together just fine. Yes i must admit he does more rappin on this album than on "I Gotta Make It" but he switched his style up a little and im diggin it. Tyrese tryed to do it as well, but he didn't really blow with it. You'll most definetly love this album!!! GO COP IT!!!
TREY DAY IS MAYDAY!!!
PINKY'S REVIEW

I REALLY LIKE THE CD. IT CAME TO ME IN ACCURATE TIME AND IN GOOD CONDITION.
Love It

This album is the greatest of all time, in my opinion. The lyrics, beats, and of course the voice Trey Songz. I listen to it day in and day out. The best songs on there are Sex for your Stereo, which makes you feel as though Trey is talking directly to you; We Should Be, which is smooth, melodic, and can make your insides do flips; and Long Gone Missin, which is good to listen to when you're upset with your significant other. Trey's album has a range of songs from cheating to being totally in love. Its great for any mood you could possibly be in. Not to mention his incredible voice. The sprinkles of rap also show his extreme versitility. All in all I LOVE IT!!! And you will to as long as you are open minded and like good music!!!
