Good product

This is a very useful accessory to any Laptop/PC user. With USB devices proliferating by the day, the standard 3 or even 4 USB ports provided turn out to be insufficient and this compact gadget provides additional ports with minimum fuss. And it doesn't cost a bomb!
Won't boot with Vista

I bought three of these. Good price an nice design. However, when I reboot Vista, Vista freezes up when it initializes the USB controller. It boots fine if I unplug these Belkin USB hubs. But hten I have to plug the USB hubs back in and it takes Vista 3-4 minutes to load drivers and get everything working. Sometimes if still goofs -- and I have to start all over again. I can't recommend these hubs for Vista.

Works as advertised.
I have been using this with my MacBook Pro. I use my external drive, external wired mouse and laptop chill mat with this USB hub in one go. All work fine.
I am pleased with this hub and would recommend it.

My handy old laptop has only one USB, so a small hub is very handy to plug in a choice of several items as needed, and keep with the PC.

The Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Hub works great. The only thing that would make it better would be for the USB connector wire to be longer.

Travels everywhere along with my Asus Eee PC 4G (7-inch Screen, 800 MHz Intel Celeron Processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB Hard Drive, Linux Preloaded) Galaxy Black and takes up a tiny amount of space in the bag. Good price and performance.

Great product, serves its purpose. Connected 4 usb devices to it, computer recognized the devices right away. Bought it 5-6 weeks ago no issues with it.
Not enough USBs? 2008-08-31
Did not have any previous experience with these. Am using a Magicjack & got fed up with daugther who kept unplugging from USB so that she could connect her "stuff". When unplugged no house phone! Was concerned as Magicjack indicated that it may not work unless plugged DIRECTLY into a USB & not via a hub. Worries were unfounded - this hub did the job & freed up USB usage so that phone stays working when she is using the PC. Great job!
