The Wasburn Idol 64 is a modern take on the single cutaway electric guitar. The wider base of the Mahogany body allows for a thinner design without balance issues. The set-in, one-piece Mahogany neck has a slim joint and offers comfortable access to the upper register. Great guitar!

I own a WI 64-PL - the PL stands for "pearloid" - the whole top is pearloid instead of maple, etc. - looks ultra-cool under the lights). Have had it for 2 years & I love it! I have played for 25+ years, play in 2 bands & regularly at church (contemporary music). This is my main go-to guitar! I love it!

The stock humbuckers are great for rock - the bridge p/u gets dirty without getting brittle; the neck p/u approaches a very nice mellow/round Les Paul sound - no kidding! When you dial the tone controls down to "0", the VCC (Voice Contour Control) hollows out the sound to a very convincing single coil sound (you thrashers won't notice a difference until you play it "CLEAN"!).

The body is thin/light & comfortable to play - feels very much like a Gibson SG when it's around your neck. Oh, I LOVE the Feiten tuning system - don't ask me how it works, it just does. It has been a pet peeve of mine that my "g" & "b" strings are always just a little out of tune on all my other guitars (Peavey,Ibanez, BC Rich, Yamaha), but this jewel is dead on no matter what position on the neck I am.

I paid $400 used for mine - feel like I got a steal. Great guitar for the money - heck, it's just a great guitar!
