Got them at Meijer for $8

Seriously, don't waste your money here or at Beachbody. Look around at your local stores. I got the same thing (in black) from Meijer for only $8! And they have lasted for months without ever falling apart.
Cheap piece of junk

These gloves are a great concept; however, they are of ridiculous quality. When I put them on, 1 of them fits fine and the other I can barely get closed. They fell apart during my very 1st workout. The finger loops came apart. Luckily I was able to attach them back together with a safety pin. I like working out with these gloves, but I will definitely opt for something of higher quality when these completely fall apart. I would never buy these seperately from the turbo jam dvds.
Very Uncomfortable.

I was really excited to get the gloves, hoping to maximize my workout. Imagine how disappointed I was to realize that they were too small to fit my hands. They were extremely uncomfortable and by the end of my first workout with them, my hands were purple. I don't have large hands by any means, so unless your hands are unusually small, don't waste your money.
Good in theory; poor execution

I got these gloves along with my Turbo Jam Maximum Results set I purchased the set off of Ebay. It appeared to come in a factory-sealed box. The gloves were still sealed in a bag that said "Beachbody"
I was dismayed to find that one of the gloves had the same side of velcro for both closures! This was a little annoying, but I figured it would be a relatively easy fix. I painstakingly and carefully used a seam-ripper to pull off one side and replaced it with some velcro I happened to have laying around (however, I'm guessing not everyone has spare pieces of velcro laying around or the desire to sew velcro to neoprene). I got past this little annoyance and used them in my workout.
I love that they add intensity to my workouts, and for the first two or three workouts, I had no problems with them. After a brief time, however, I noticed that every time I'm done with a workout, I had little bits of sand on my hands (and, no, I didn't sew through the weighted section of the gloves). I also didn't really believe they weighed 1 lb each; they just felt too light. I weighed each of them on my food scale: one weighs 12.25 ounces, and the other weighs 10.75!!!
I'm so torn with Beachbody because I LOVE the Turbo Jam they produce, but so many other things they put out is just junk. These gloves only held up for a week! I've also heard MANY horror stories of their customer service (or lack thereof).
In conclusion, weighted gloves are a GREAT concept. Unfortunately, these are cheaply made and simply aren't worth $5. I'm glad I got them "included" in a Turbo Jam set (that I happened to get for $68 including shipping) so that I could try them out; now I just have to find a decent pair!
Good idea, poor quality

First the good: I was so excited to get these gloves. They took a little getting used to at first but after a couple of workouts they were pretty comfortable. You can wear them with the weight on the back of your hand, or in your palm, whichever is more comfortable for you. Personally I preferred the weight on the back of my hand. I found that wearing these gloves really improved my workouts, when incorporated with the Turbo Jam DVDs. They were a good weight in that I felt like they added difficulty, but they were not so heavy that I couldn't wear them for almost my whole workout.
Now the bad: These gloves are of exceptionally poor quality, and basically fell apart after very little use. After using them for two workouts (< 2 hours total), I noticed the velcro coming loose on one of them. I decided that it was something I could fix with a needle and some thread. By the end of my third workout, the finger loops on one of the gloves had come completely apart, leaving the glove flopping around on my hand when I am punching. I would try and fix it but I think the gloves are not of high enough quality to make it worth my effort. I am in the process of trying to contact beachbody for a replacement.
The bottom line: I'd highly recommend weighted gloves for use with the turbo jam workouts, just not this specific pair.
I agree w/ P. Reyes...they're OK,if FREE or ONE DOLLAR

TurboJam Gloves

I received the turbojam vidoes; which I love. But, the gloves were leaking the sand, so I decided to just sew them. Now the finger part fall apart! I would just suggest buying professional weighted gloves. I highly suggest turbojam vidoes, but not these gloves.
not exactly 2 lb

i received this item 2 days ago, i was so eager to use them with tae bo, so i put them on and started doing some punches and jams, well, did not feel much difference, but with repetition and with speed , i kind of felt the resistance and get tired at a less counts of jams and punches.i weighed them and found that like another reviewer said, they were less than 2 lb both.i'm not complaining now about the weight since i 'm still new to punch with weights, but for those doing tae bo with bands and wrist weights, i wouldnot recommend them..more over, they are not one size fit all, my hand is small, and still i feel that it hardly close on it and the 3 opennings/holes for thumb, and other 2 fingers are so small, also, the velcro is sewed very close to the thumb openning, so it kind of keep rubbing with thumb and inturrupt your workout.
It's OK

The gloves are OK. The fit around the thumb is a little tight. After a while it becomes uncomfortable.
Not True 1 lb. Gloves

I own the original Beachbody 1 lb. weighted gloves---the ones with the big round ball in the center of your palm. I used them until they were completely worn out and needed to be replaced. They are great for intensifying your turbo workout and building nicely cut arms. However, I ordered this newly designed pair to replace my old ones and immediately noticed a difference in my workout---it was too easy. I weighed them and they are barely 12 oz. It may not seem like much of a difference, but when you have built up your strength using true 1 lb. weighted gloves you can really feel the lack of resistance.
I think these newly designed BB gloves are great for beginners, but if you need a true 1 lb. weight I recommend finding another brand.
I would like to add that if you are new to using weighted gloves in your workout it will seem difficult at first but don't give up. Start slow and build up gradually if you need to. Before you know it you will get through the entire routine. The results are well worth it and you will never exercise without them again.
