Great otoscope for the price

This is a great otoscope for the price. I purchased it so we wouldn't have to take our son to the Dr. to see if he had an ear infection. My husband and I are both nurses, so we have knowledge in that field and we hated taking him to the Dr. if we didn't need to. It has already paid for itself as we have also checked our nephew's ears for infection and my father in law's ears for cerumen build up. It is great for home use!

This is a great item to have around the house if you have kids. It has a magnifying view, and it lights up, and it has different sized specula (one small enough for my two year olds ear), so checking for ear infections is so much easier than with the store brand otoscope I purchased at walgreens. I think this product works as well as the one my physician uses. I think it is made really well and should last a long time.

The otoscope appears very well constructed. This is something very important to me. The light does not appear to be too bright, but when looking inside the ear it is more than enough. The documentation is minimal, but there are a few good web pages that show a healthy ear vs. an ear with a problem. The difference is very easy to see. With the scope I was able to easily identify a problem in my 3 year old's year and get medical treatment.

Would have thought that this would have been medical grade but sadly that was not the case. Cheap construction makes this item awkward to use. One is always having to tighten the neck back onto the base and the specuala will not mount correctly. look elsewhere.

This otoscope was very good for my personal use. I recently lost hearing clarity in my ear and my daughter was able to determine that I was suffering from a buildup of cerumen without an expensive visit to my doctor's office to have a ear lavage.

This otoscope is excellent quality. After numerous trips with three kids to the doctor to have ears checked only to find out there is no infection, I decided the saved co-payments would pay for the otoscope. I am also a nurse and found great eardrum visibility with this item. The service was great, I received the product within days of ordering it.

This little device is great. My daughter (an RN) uses it to check for excessive wax in my ears and she says it is as good as the expensive ones. The light is bright, magnification is clear and quality is outstanding for the price. Enjoy.
