The Aurora AS810SD 8-Sheet Strip Cut Paper/CD/Credit Card Shredder with Basket is the perfect home device to help keep you safe from identity theft. The AS810SD accepts up to eight sheets of paper at a time and shreds them into 1/4-inch strips. Paper is shredded at a speedy 9.7 feet per minute. A three-mode safety switch keeps your fingers from getting caught. To get the shredding started, simply feed paper through and the shredder auto starts.
In addition to paper, the AS810SD shreds CDs and credit cards, keeping vital information from falling into the wrong hands. The throat of the shredder is 8.75 inches wide and the basket itself can hold 4.5 gallons, or 100 sheets of shredded paper.

Purchase went smooth and easy; no problems at all. The product is excellent so far; it shreds very smooth. It is not a loud and/or noise shredder, it shreds like it is nothing. I haven't done cds yet, but I have credit cards...I am very please with my purchase!

This shredder is perfect for general home use. It shreds quickly and has a generous size basket so it doesn't need to be emptied too often. For the cost it's definitely a good buy.

A good product, but I don't recommend running it in reverse. The plastic container is too small. I solved that by tapeing a large cardboard box shut, drawing an outline of the unit on the box,and presto I have a large enough
container.

I bought this because I needed to shred some stuff periodically, not every day. I think this is perfect product for that kind of need. It doesn't like being overloaded, so be careful.

This product is inexpensive and does exactly what it is suppose to do. However, strip-cutting is not a secure way to shred paper documents.

The shredded cuts are rather large. If this product would shred 8 sheets, it would have to be 8 sheets of onion skin paper. It has a difficult time doing 5 sheets. I put in an old credit card & the shredder began to smell hot. This product is good for very small projects only.

If you're looking for a shredder that shreds paper, credit cards, and cd's, this might be the shredder you're looking for. When I ordered this shredder I was under the impression that it was a cross shredder, it was not. Had this been the cross shredder I was looking for it would have received more stars.
Great Bargain Shredder 2008-07-01
I bought this shredder for occasional use at home. It does everything I need. It performs much better than the previous home shredder which I was using. Four sheets of thick paper are no problem, as compared to my old shredder which would struggle with only 2 sheets.
