Good value, does the job.

This item is very sturdy and easy to use once assembled. I like the multiple hand positions and the angled wide grip. The instructions for assembly are almost useless - fortunately it's pretty simple to put together. It took me about 1/2 hour. Make sure your doorway is 30" wide or less, or it won't mount at all. If you have white molding, use a towel or some other non-marking pad between the black foam and door frame to avoid black divots.

Overall, this product was exactly as advertised. Of course getting myself to use it as more than just a dry cleaning rack is the real challenge.

I don't like to write bad reviews, but this product left me so disappointed.
Cons.
1. Difficult to assemble, instructions not clear.
2. Does not fit in every doorway. It only fit in one doorway in my house.
3. My door post was stained, scratched and some areas crushed with the black rubber material, and jagged corners of the product.
4. The black rubber material started breaking up on the handles, and some rubber capping pieces fell off.
5. The bent pull up handle is unstable as it adjusted positions with my weight.
6. Feels cheap.
Pros.
1. Does the job?

I would not go with this one again, I think I'm going to try another one...this one was a really bad investment.

I read the reviews before i bought the product and they was right.This is one strong and sturdy home pullup bar.Im 5'11 and weigh about 200lbs and it holds me up without me happening to bend my knees to much.The only bad thing is the assembly directions(there is none)but it doesnt take much to figure it out.I also bought the arm straps to hold me up so i could do knee raises to work out my abs,also another good buy.I recommend anybody thats thinking about buying a door pullup bar to purchase this one.

Great for the price

This piece will do everything you expect it to do for about half the cost of the competition. It has left some small black marks on the door trim--easily paintable when I move--but no permanent damage to the frame. As other reviewers have noted, the instructions are a joke, and it's a bit frustrating that you need a minimum of three different wrenches to put it together (I used 13, 14, and 17 mm wrenches along with an adjustable). However, once it's done you'll never have to worry about it again, as it is quite durable steel.

Good:
Sound and sturdy design.

Bad:
Build quality - Excessive glue on the catch bar, get ready with your WD40 for cleanup. Four out of 6 comfort grips were not adhered to the bars properly (turning at the ends), making them difficult to get a firm grip. White paint chipped in a couple of places.

Other:
Assembly instructions are confusing, but it's not too difficult to figure it out from the pictures.

Only 1 inch diameter bar with very thin grip pads make it uncomfortable for adults. If I didn't have a kid, I would have returned this product.

Great Product

Well-designed product - much better than most doorway bars I've had in the past. I particularly like the fact that one can do wide grip pull-ups without trying to squeeze the arms between the doorway. Product seems sturdy and directions were intuitive - the entire process of putting the bars together took about 5 minutes with a litle help from my 8 year old son.

I PUT THIS THING TOGETHER IN 10 MINUTES FLAT AND HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR 2 MONTHS NOW. GREAT BACK WORK OUT WITH IT. RIGHT NOW I AM USING IT FOR WIDE GRIP PULL UPS IN FRONT OF NECK, REVERSE GRIP CHIN UPS, AND A CLOSE GRIP ROW PULL UPS DURING ONE WORK OUT TOTALLING 11 SETS TO FAILURE. THE NEXT DAY YOU CAN FEEL THE COBRA EFFECT ON YOUR LATS

Just recived it and put it together in 5 min. all the part was wrapped in plastic, there was no rust as others desribed.. and it works very well... fast shipping, 3 days!

very easy to assemble. multiple grips work very well. very sturdy. fits normal door frame perfect. so glad i took my time and selected the right pull up bar.

It's really NOT that hard to put together!

I have been reading the other reviews for this, and while I admit the instructions are pretty much useless, I was able to put it together by looking at the picture, and using a couple of pairs of pliers to tighten everything up. Ignore the instructions saying you need 3 different tools to put this together...not true. A small adjustable wrench and a pair of pliers would work just fine too. Took me all of ten minutes. I have no real complaints about the product itself...works fine for me, however if you have mouldings in your house that are very old or just not that sturdy, I would probably pass on this one.
