Great picture, flawless operation 2008-10-02
The picture on this set rivals the HD Sony we had that was a CRT. The TV even makes standard def look better. The picture is bright and the colors are rich, detailed and very natural looking. Not a single hiccup in three months. About the only thing I do not like is the weight, (140+ lbs.) but than it is a 58" TV.

The Panasonic 58" Plasma is an excellent TV. The picture is incredible, sound is OK. Got a great price from Amazon Warehouse Deals.

The only issue was an "Out of the box" problem. After setup the TV had a 4" green stripe down the left part of the screen, but it cleared up after 3 days of use. Panasonic Service was excellent, they got a Service call scheduled immediately, which turned out I didn't need.

Beware Panasonic 2008-09-21
I bought a Panasonic plasma 2 years ago and it died for no reason. It will now cost $2000 for the board just to fix it. The TV repairman said he has never seen such a high cost for a replacement board. Multiple different board tried without luck. Still waiting.

Astounding Picture! 2008-09-05
I am continually amazed by the picture quailty of this TV. I'm using generic HDMI 1.3 cables with an HDMI 1.3-compliant AVR, a HD DVR, a PS3 and an upscaling DVD player. In 10 months, I have had no problems with the TV (yes, the built-in speakers don't have decent sound, but if you can afford this TV, you shouldn't be using the built-in speakers). Previously, I had a 50-inch Panasonic plasma that died unexpectedly, shortly after the warranty expired. Panasonic customer service was pretty good. They asked me to get a repair quote and submit it to them (prognosis was a bad power supply board). They authorized the repair, and all I paid for was the initial estimate ($75 out of $575). Yes, I agree with generally everyone that there should be a 3-5 year warranty included with such a fine and expensive TV.

Breathtaking! Best bang for the buck! 2008-08-14
No complaints! Picture quality is incredible in HD and more than acceptable in SD. Those who don't like the sound quality must not be hearing the same TV I own, excellent sound.

Buy now before inflation sends the price higher. The price has actually increased since I purchased mine. You can't go wrong with this set!

TV is Great. The company is crap 2008-07-11
The TV is great and we are very happy with the overall TV. Please please do not buy from this company. They do not reply to emails until you get mad and the trucking company they use should not be in business. We were told the TV would be deliver between 1:00 and 5:00. At 11:00 they arrived at our house and since we were not home just they wanted to come back the next day.

Awesome HDTV 2008-06-28
This is an awesome TV. Was first deciding between plasma and LCD. Went for plasma, as the picture quality is much better - moving images, better black tones - and you can go for 58+ inches. Then my choice was between this Panasonic and Pioneer Kuro 60. When comparing the two TVs side by side at a store, I could not really tell a difference (well, apart from the price tag, $1600 in favor of the Panasonic). Have had the TV for 4 moths now - love it. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic 2008-04-30
I highly recommend this TV. Delivered ahead of schedule by the shipping company. Zero problems with delivery or install.

The TV is outstanding. Humans appear to be life size. Quality is excellent, real easy to setup.

Love it!

Optimal Settings for PERFECTION 2008-04-29
This TV Is simply stunning. Prepare to be slack jawed for quite some time. For those of you wanting to get film quality image reproduction out of this unit try the following settings. Give it one day after making the adjustments so your eyes can adjust to the change. The realism from these settings will produce images so lifelike that it will take your breath away.

The following figures contains the picture settings for the TH-58PZ700U after its ISF calibration. I highly suggest that you use these settings if you purchase or own this television. By configuring the television to the below settings I was able to get the color temperature to D6650K, a substantial improvement over the out-of-the-box measurement of D10000K+. Using the below settings to regulate the color temperature and white balance virtually perfects the picture of the TH-58PZ700U:

Panasonic TH-58PZ700U Optimal Picture Settings
Picture Mode Standard
Picture +22
Brightness +8
Color -1
Tint -4
Sharpness -14
Color Temperature Warm
Enhanced Black Level Off

Hope this helps some of you. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
