Good bass and all around decent headset

So far I have used it to play Crysis and Day of Defeat with good results. The sound is clear and the bass is decent. The ear pads are nice and soft and cover my ears. The mic works well and I like that I can disconnect it when not needed.
I do agree with other reviews that it gets a little uncomfortable wearing them for an extended time. I wise there was an adjustable tension for comfort.
I also choose this model also for the analog inputs. I have had some other USB headsets that are touchy with USB connections.
All in all, a solid headset and good value for the money.

Good sound quality, very comfortable, in-line volume control and mute, and a removable mic. Great price here on Amazon as well. I would recommend this headset.
Best headset for the money 2008-03-26
Bought this headset on Amazon with 2 day free shipping(yes, it actually arrived in 2 days-thanks Amazon). Very comfortable, removable microphone, gold plated connectors, good build quality. Sounds amazing for the price, much better than my previously owned Altec Lansing 615. I use this headset for everything-music, movies etc. Overall this is an outstanding product. And not just for the games!
Love This Headset! 2008-03-26
I bought this headset and instantly I loved it. They are great for gaming and listening to music. The 1st thing I noticed when I bought this headset was the velvet padded earphones, they are very comfortable even when wearing them for long periods at a time. They have excellent bass response and all my music and games sound great. As for the microphone it is very clear. Also, I really like the detachable microphone so I can use them for music. Anyways this is great deal and all around good headset. If you are looking to spend less then 50 go for these.
Although comfy and sound quality decent, quality is a bit low for a over $20 set.

These are overpriced even at $45. Mic went dead after a few unplugs and then left speaker snapped at almost zero pressure. The plastic is just pathetically soft and cheap. If you don't think you were ripped off, look at the A4tech HS-800, EXACT same headphones in features and cheap quality... but easily found for $20.
The Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset would be a good deal if it was half the price.

Delivery was prompt; arrived a day before expected. The headset is awesome! The sound system is great and the sound filter works great; the person on the other end only hears your voice, and nothing from background. Comforts great.....I love it!
Nice headset, but could be a bit more rugged... 2008-06-29
I purchased this gaming headset for my son. All in all, he is happy with the performance and overall quality. As being something of a perfectionist, I was also rather satisfied with the audio quuality. However, I believe they could have put a little more thought into the cabling; the cables are very thin and somewhat apt to get damaged easily. I know that copper prices are up more than a little, but this is something of a "premium" headset. The repair charge from Creative, including shipping costs would be excessive, but I am sure that they want you to just buy a new one.
As someone who has done more than his fair share of electronics repairs, I would have appreciated the ability to simply repair the cable without risking damage to the headset. There is one area of the cable that has gotten a bit abused, and the audio is becomming intermittent if it is moved around. I have no doubt that it is the cable, but I am not going to try and repair/replace the cable until it dies altogether.
All in all, with the exception of the cheesy cabling, the headset has held out pretty well, and he is still using it today (about 9 months later).

Excellent headphones! 2008-05-19
These are the best headphones I have ever used. They are very comfortable, and the sound quality is second to none. The only problem I have had is getting the microphone to work with games. However, I suspect that this is just a matter of changing some setting with my soundcard, and not a problem with the headphones themselves. The microphone does work if I simply record my voice.
