Editorial Review
Puddle Of Mudd Band: Wesley Scantlin - vocals/guitar Douglas Ardito - bass Christian Stone - guitar/vocals Ryan Yerdon - drums

"It's about passion and writing music that connects with other people and somehow heals them in a great way. I really want to try to crawl under peoples' skin and at the same time make some kick-ass rock `n roll music," says Puddle Of Mudd front man Wesley Scantlin about his band's third album, Famous.

Puddle Of Mudd now has fresh inspiration from new members Christian Stone (ex-Campfire Girls) and Ryan Yerdon.

Famous was recorded in Los Angeles and Colorado. Brian Howes (Hinder, Daughtry) co-wrote the first single "Famous" with Wes and produced the track. Former Black Flag drummer Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, MXPX etc.), Jason Livermore (Rise Against, NOFX) and our own Jack Joseph Puig along with Puddle Of Mudd all have producer credits on the album.

Hometown Base: Los Angeles, CA

· First single "Famous" topped the rock radio charts at #1 on both the Active and Mainstream Rock formats. Top 30 @ Modern Rock.

· Over 5 million combined U.S. album sales in the bands career so far.

· U.S. tour Fall 2007 starts 9/21 runs through to end of November.

One-album wonder 2008-03-09
No matter how hard they try, it seems that Puddle of Mudd will be eternally defined by the album Come Clean. I don't know many people that picked up their following album Life on Display, but Wes and the boys still came back at us with Famous.

Speaking of Come Clean, though, the best songs (not to mention biggest hits) off that album were the breakup songs "Blurry" (which I loved from the moment I first heard it) and "She Hates Me", and it appears that those are the kind of songs that best work out for them, as tracks like that are what stand out on HERE, like "Moonshine", "We Don't Have to Look Back Now", and possibly "Radiate". Another highlight is "It Was Faith".

But then there are a few songs that don't make any sense, like "Psycho", but especially "Livin' on Borrowed Time" and "Merry-Go-Round". I can also do without the title track. This album may be called Famous but like I said, their first album is probably all they'll really be famous for.

more of the same but it still rocks hard! 2008-02-08
I wasn't to impressed with Famous on the radio but recently when I heard Psycho on the radio I couldn't get it out my head its an awesome catchy song that I can't stop listening to similar to Seethers Fake It. I was going to completely skip this album since I HATED LIFE ON DISPLAY. This is a great comeback album from POM I am glad it took them 4+ years to make it well worth the wait as others have been saying. It also sounds progressive which is new for POM and personally I like it each song sounds different (unlike LOD). I am still getting into this album but as far as I can tell its easily a 4.5 star album its that good one of the better alternative cds I've heard in 2007.

Brilliant 2008-01-31
I'm thrilled with all 3 albums after just discovering this band this year. POM rocks my world! I think it's brilliant that they called a song "if I could love you" without saying "I f***ing love you". Clever don't you think! And the Famous song...it HAS to be about the Entourage boys...Bring on some more. I love Psycho too! A whole new style for them. And it also shines.

Puddle Of Mudd Famous 2008-01-28
Just want to say that the band's newest release Famous is very good. I found a great improvement musically and loved the new ideas that the band put forward this time. They have some great rocking songs as well a few ballad type songs. I also found that the overall production of this CD is much better than previous releases. I for one would recommend this CD

FAMOUS 2008-01-20
I hadnt heard anything from puddle of mud since there brilliant first album then i heard famous on a computer game then i got straight on the net and bought there album

Guess I'm #3 to recomend the new Fozzy CD instead! 2008-04-18
Do yourself a favor and do as other reviewers are saying and check out the new Fozzy All That Remains Reloaded. It's absolutely incredible. All That Remains Reloaded (W/Dvd)

best CD I ever bought 2008-04-15
I consider myself a music snob adn I have to say this might be the best cd i ever bought. The guitar rocks, the drums pound and the whole thing just sounds awesome.

Don't know how people describe this as metal??? 2008-04-14
Read some reviews on this CD on this site and it sounded like people were describing it as metal. So i went out and bought it on that basis. Boy was i disappointed. There is no way this CD is a metal CD. It is wishy washy pop rock at best. Nothing heavy about it at all. I must admit i have only listened to it a few times but i can't see myself listening to it much more. A lot of the songs are slow and no heavy guitars no screaming solos' the singing a mild. I like a lot of other bands that seem to lumped with this one like Breaking Benjamin, Hoobastank, Evans blue, 10 years and Three days Grace all great bands this band isn't in the same league to those band.

Nothing new here........they should listen to Fozzy 2008-04-11
Sounds a bit dated......it's not bad but the songs tend to be too similar. I like my CD's to have more variety, like Fozzy and their All That Remains Reloaded CD....

Great CD 2008-03-29
I'm listening to it right now for the third time since I woke up. If you like PoM, you'll like this one too.
