Basically an okay monitor, but I can only give it 3 stars as I have had trouble with the colors. Seems like the colors are only really good at a very limited viewing angle (straight on). It is mainly an issue with the colors at the bottom of the monitor. Rest of the monitor is great. Good looking, great USB connections and enough ways to adjust it.

Yes this is a very nice monitor
BUT
The backlight/bleed on the sides is excruciating
AND
The contrast sensitivity is like hell, clamped 25% top & bottom
IF, AND ONLY IF
You leave the factory settings as-is
The magic comes when you do this:
Brightness: 0
Contrast: 100
Viola.
Viewing angle is very liveable, colors are RICH, height/tilt/rotation controls (Apple, these are GOOD things), details in my B&W again and that annoying 'I was just about to call and ask for my money back' bleed around the edges is pretty much gone.

Color/brightness shift profound- almost useless

I require this size monitor for image editing, and "upgraded" from a 20" Dell. I needed one post haste, and this was the only thing available.
There is at least 30 % brightness difference between the two halves of the screen. This is especially noticeable when the monitor is vertically oriented. It shifts from bright white to medium grey, and the effect is beyond tolerable. This results in a profound loss of shadow/highlight detail correctable only by shifting ones point of view back an forth across the screen.
Completely unacceptable and item returned with loud complaint to manufacturer. In my view, the only people who grade this monitor "5 stars" are likely the same ones unable to differentiate an upconverted 480p picture from true HD. They fell for the "slick" factor.

Although nice size and decent color, I returned the monitor because of the horrible view angle. Not a great monitor.

Good Communication. Product sent as agreed. Missing some accessories, but upon request, they were sent overnight except for the manual which I was able to download an abbrevaiated version online.
Brilliant Beautiful and BIg 2008-07-02
Oh, I can't think of a bad thing to say about this monitor. In fact, after I bought one for my wife for a present (she was THRILLED) I bought another one for myself for my office. NOW, I can finally SEE what's on the screen, regardless of the resolution ... AND when I use MicroSoft Word 2007, the screen automatically defaults to two 8 1/2 x 11 inch pages side by side! Nothing to complain about. It's a great monitor ... sounds great and even has an HDMI input.
Bright Clear Picture 2008-05-31
I bought this monitor to replace a failing 20" Dell monitor. The Dell was fine, but the clarity from this monitor is incredible. I use the machine mostly for development work and general surfing, and it works well. The colors are bright, yet not too bright. I was a little wary of buying a monitor with a glossy screen, but personally I feel that this enhances the display.

I own the monitor for a month now, and love it. I use it for IC chip design works, including schematics, simulations, layouts, etc. I get good graphics, crisp texts, bright/vivid colors, driving it with my older display driver (NVIDIA Quadro FX 550). The graphics will be even better with newer display drivers. The viewing angle is not a problem for me.

This is the most breathtaking monitor I've seen. It is beautiful and well designed. It provides unmatched clarity and color, and works extremely well for both graphic and text work. It is a large monitor that has a small footprint on your workspace. Instant response, beautiful color, unmatched excellence.
