I love it! 2008-02-13
I use my Zen Stone Plus while I work out and even when I don't. I bought hot pink in order to deter my kids from "borrowing" it. That didn't work. But so far it is standing up to them and me. I like the price, too. I really like it and would buy another one. I highly recommend it.

Good device for recorded books 2008-02-08
I was looking for a good device to download audio books from the library, This works very well and resumes play where you leave off. It was fairly easy to use and also holds a lot of music.

Useless and Creative's Customer Service Department stinks 2008-02-05
If this is your first venture into MP3 players like it was mine DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy this device. First of all, there is no legally downloadable music to play on this thing. Nothing is compatible. But, go to their website and click on the "Fill Your Zen" link from the Zen Stone Plus 2GB webpage and it gives you all kinds of links to compatible services. Go to the service, sign up for it, and Guess What? It's not compatible. But wait!!?? They advertised that it was? Now try to get help from customer service. They talk in circles, oh yea, by e-mail only... and then to top it off you have to wait at least 24 hours between e-mails to get answers that get you nowhere. In the last e-mail I got customer service finally told me..

"[We] Apologize for any inconvenience caused from this experience. Please allow me to assist you further in resolving the issue.

Prior sending us an email, our website suggested some solutions for the issues that you are having. Some information that I provide might be repetitive, but I want to get you the solutions that have highest probability of resolving your issue.

I regret to tell you that Zen Stone Plus doesn't support Online Music Subscription Services. Therefore you won't be able to transfer any of the online music that you have subscribe whether it is itunes or Yahoo!Unlimited."

Well now, there's some help. All that stuff that they linked me to on their website, its not compatible. And I'm not comfortable downloading pirated music. So now what? I've got a device that does not do what the website said it would do. I call that false advertising and, Oh Yes...hmmm, its a piece of junk.

Stay away 2008-01-22
I ordered three of these (in green) and NONE of them worked. They performed when plugged into the computer, but failed to hold a charge once disconnected from the PC. This was after the tech-support recommended "all night" charging.
By way of background, I'm fairly computer savvy, have a new PC based system, and spent hours on the phone with Creative tech support trying to fix the problems. Ultimately, I had to return the units.
Stay away.

misleading 2008-01-06
This is a terrible product, I don't know a whole lot about about electronics. When I bought this for my niece and nephew, I find out you can't download purchased music from the internet. Maybe I should be more informed but all the other mp3 players can download purchased music.

Excellent! 2008-06-28
This is a great MP3 player! It is just what the description said it would be! It is easy to load with songs and work the menu... Just love it!!

Won't hold a charge. 2008-06-05
I bought it today, have had it charging for hours. It blinked like it was suppose to. I downloaded 127 C-tunes, formatted, recharged, went out and got an AC charger. Repeated everything all day. I can play it plugged into the AC charger, which could come in handy, or I could play it from the computer, which is redundant. It would not play on its own. It would not take a charge at all. I no longer crave a Creative Zen. Oh, if I-River would be more available. This item is cute in red, but it stinks. And I found out later Target gagged me at $54.99. Take it back.

just what I wanted 2008-06-01
This was exactly what I hoped it would be. It's really small, I can completely cover it with both thumbs, and it's also really thin. I like the playful pink color. The sound quality is very good. It's volume goes from 1-25 or 26, but it is loud enough to exercise with at 7-9. If you are a parent and this is for your child, I think you are definitely going to want to use the parental controls that limit how loud the player will go. I haven't tried that out so I don't know how it works. I really like the display screen, which the zen stone without the plus doesn't have, so I am glad I bought the one I did. It holds lots of songs. There is software you can download to manage your downloads, but I did just fine without it. I put on music from my CDs and downloaded songs from Amazon.com without any problems. It also has a flash drive, which eliminates skipping. All in all, a great little player.

Small and simple 2008-03-20
The Zen Stone is a nice little music player. It is simple to operate, has decent capacity and sound good. The battery life isn't great, but is reasonable considering the small size of the player. My 8-year old girl loves it.

Pink??? 2008-02-21
Bought for the girlfriend... paid almost twice the cost just to get a Pink one. She loves it. Works great! I have a black version myself... which after about 3 days... started to hear a rattling from inside the case.... Which does not effect the quality of the product.... I just find it odd. Overall, great buy IMO.
