A little dissapointed 2007-12-28
I gave this as a gift to my niece along with the zen stone mp3 player. I have not seen the product because I had it delivered to their home in CT. My sister told me that my niece likes the key chain because it's a fun way to carry her mp3 but that some of the buttons are covered by case so it's makes it somewhat difficult to press some of the buttons.

great protection 2007-11-29
This keychain holder for the ZEN Stone Plus is great. It protects the screen on the stone that would otherwise get scratched up from change & what not in your pocket.

Nice Keychain case for the Creative Zen Stone 2007-11-17
If you own the creative Zen stone, there are a nice range of affordable cases out there. This keychain case strikes a good balance between price and function. At just over $10, it's worth a look.

The case is made out of synthetic leather. The plastic that covers the OLED screen and button control pad isn't the best and will stick. I've found a little windex on the unit before putting it in here makes it look a little better.

Some side buttons are covered with this case, but you still can push them through the case. You can use the keychain portion for keys or run it through a lanyard for running, though it will jump around. In that sense, those who are looking for running as their primary use for this may want to consider the arm-band case.

If you don't mind pleather and want a small case for your Creative Zen Stone Plus, this guy may be for you. Enjoy!!!

handy keychain 2007-10-25
The perfect little accessory to make sure I always have music and ebooks with me. The player itself is very lightweight and small, so I hard know it's there. It's incredibly hard to turn the darn thing on though. I have to push the botton very hard with my fingernail, hidden by the cover, for a good 10 seconds or so.

Handy with Minor Flaw 2007-09-25
I purchased the Creative Zen Stone and keychain for my mother so she could listen to music while at the gym. She likes the small size and the ability to put it on a chain or in her pocket, but she became very frustrated when she hit some button by mistake that put the Zen Stone into "infinite la-la land." After several minutes reading the (extremely) poor documentation and fiddling, we discovered that the button above the display is a "two-way" button: press one side to toggle power and press the other side to activate the microphone to record conversations.

This turned out to be a very poor choice because the keychain cover literally covers the power button and makes it way too easy to press record by mistake. On the plus side, the Zen Stone fits very snugly into the keychain cover and the power button is still relatively easy to access even though it isn't exposed. I just wish the other side of the power button had a less disastrous feature--like perhaps pause/resume.

Perfect little case for excellent MP3 2008-07-14
My wife loves the 2G Creative Zen Stone and this case is the perfect carrier for it. All the controls are accessible and it can be hooked to your keys, your workout gear, whatever. Some slam "the stone" for not being like an ipod, but if you are the least bit computer savvy, the stone is cheaper and easier to use and gives excellent sound. My wife uses it 90% of the time at the gym. Hmm, would I rather have a tiny, good sounding MP3 that cost me less than $75 or a $200+ ipod to lose, have stolen or break. Cheesy? Anyone checked out the myriad of Ipod accessories that don't fit. Not cheesy at all. It works.

Poor quality control; does not line up 2008-05-14
My son has a Zen Stone Plus, so I thought it would be nice to pick this up for him. But after spending some time trying to fit the two items together, we concluded that ours, at least, was not properly aligned and would never fit his player. This is especially aggravating as I will have to pay shipping to return the thing, so I will only get about half the purchase price refunded!

And yes, it is lightweight pleather, which material certainly has its uses, but I could see how the keyring loop would rip off in about a handful of uses. Not the greatest design. Would have been better in some kind of ripstop nylon perhaps.

Highly NOT recommended.

Great Product!!! 2008-04-05
This helps to protect your mp3 player. I was scared it would get scratched up so i bought this. it works great to protect it and still gives you accessibility to your Zen stone. I highly reccomend this product.

Cool concept but not perfect if you have the stone with the speaker. 2008-04-03
I really like the "concept" of the keychain case. It is very convenient for hooking onto anything, but I have a couple issues with it.
First, I have the stone with the external speaker and I don't know if it is bigger than the ones without it, but it barely fits into the case. You have to really stretch the velcro flap to get it to hold on. This in turn makes the clear windows not quite line up perfectly with where they should be. The other issue is there is no cutout for the external speaker. You can hear the sound through the case, but if you want to expose the speaker, you have to remove the key ring, open the velcro flap and pull down the back of the case.
I assume at some point they will come out with a keychain case specifically for the stone with the speaker, but I guess I was too impatient to wait. Despite the issues, it is still a pretty functional case that will work ok until they come out with a specific one for this stone.

I love it, but... 2008-02-09
This is a really handy item.
However, the key ring piece broke, within five minutes. You have to open it up to get the player inside.
It would be nice to have a hole where the power button is.
It really protects the Zen Stone.
