Just one problem

The case protects the Archos 605 nicely and it fits it like a glove. The belt clip is also a nice feature. The only problem (and I don't know if it is with all of them or just mine) is that the hold on the left side for the headphone jack is in the wrong spot by about a quarter of an inch. I just cut it a bit bigger and now it is perfect. It didn't cost me anything and it didn't harm it structurally. I think that it is a great accessory for anybody using the Archos 605, which, in my opinion, is a far superior machine to any IPod.
Nice case..and they add a place for the stylus 2008-03-25
This is a nice case... most of the previous reviewers complain that there is no place for the stylus But it seems that archos have added a place for the stylus in the newer version of the case ...the only complain about the case is that there are no openings for the cables ..other then that it is well made ...recommended
Garmin Nuvi 750 2008-03-22
I actually purchased this for the Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS device as I didn't like the other covers. It's a bit narrow on the sides, but works well for my needs. Well built, sturdy case and very attractive.
Fits well, but very impractical

The case fits the archos snugly, but has a number of drawbacks.
1. There is no place for the stylus
2. although there is a headphone cutout that works well, there is no cutout for the speaker. Since it's advertised as a "stand case" I expected to be able to stand it & watch it. It doesn't stand well, and you can't hear the speaker through the leather.
3. A bottom cutout for the power/usb cord would have been a nice addition that was forgotten
Mostly without a holster for the stylus, I found this case mostly unusable. I ended up taking it out of the case every time I wanted to use it, and it was somewhat awkward to remove as well.
Nice... but... 2008-03-14
First off the hole for the audio jack was not big enough for a standard 1/8" jack. The jack barely fit into the hole, and any sudden movements
and the jack came halfway out (leaving a mono like sound to the external Amp).
As stated above, no flap (per say) for the data ports, I am always plugging in my Archos to put new media on it.
The quality of the case is great, and it protects the Archos very well, and I highly suggest picking one up to protect your Archos.

Cheaply made. 2008-02-12
Very cheap. Seems more like pleather than leather. Does not fit all sizes it states. Upon inserting my Archos the case ripped. I have since returned the case to Amazon and purchased the 100x better Noreve Case. I highly recommend the Noreve case.
Like so many in the review 2008-02-01
Like so many I didn't read the reviews first for something simple like this case. I don't understand why Amazon is not catching this error because the package clearly states that it is for 4GB-30GB. It's the first thing I saw but it is nowhere declared on the product's webpage at Amazon. There is an fitting case available though but it is not listed at Amazon.
This will be my first return at Amazon.

This leather case only fits the smaller Archos units, do not buy it for an 80Gig or bigger model.
Worst case ever accross any mobile product! 2008-01-18
I am posting this to protect others from wasting money on this case. This case is terrible.
First, the headphone hole doesn't match up with the headphone jack. This means that you have to take out the Archos to use it. There are no cutouts for access to the bottom ports, so charging requires the archos leave the case. Given that this case is 50%+ less than 3rd party alternatives, taking the Archos out of the case may not seem like a deal breaker however, the case is so poorly designed that its a pain to put it back in since the top part of the case requires that you must use the fingers of one had to hold it up and the other to wiggle the archos back in. After about 20-25 attempts at it, you do get good enough to do it quickly, but only if you are doing it while still and have a flat surface to work on. Otherwise, it never becomes easy to put it back in while you are moving (for me anyway).
The "stand" portion of this case is just ridiculous. Look closely at the image, especially the angle. You have to be at eye level with the archos to see the screen clearly as the case only offers a flat (not tilted like the kickstand) viewing angle and the snap is so poor that any pressure/movement (such as turbulance on a plane) causes the snap to come undone and the stand collapses. Lastly, this case offers no place to put the stylus! Now that is just dumb, don't you think?
