solid all region player 2008-01-01
Easy set up, worked right out of the box and easily handled all my PAL DVD's.

Easy to use 2007-12-12
The DVD player worked without a hitch with a UK release DVD that I had purchased in London. And no problems with standard US DVDs either. Very happy with it.

Plays fine but had to enter code to make region free!!! 2007-12-02
I bought this specifically for the region free option as advertised. However, it stated clearly on the box it was a region 1 only machine and i had to go onto the internet to find a code.

It now works fine but this should not be advertised this way!

For anyone else in the same position, the following should help you unlock the machine:

1. Turn on the unit
2. Open the loading tray
3. Press the "Setup" button on the remote
4. Navigate to the "Preferences" page using the right arrow key
5. Enter 138931
6. You will now see the current region code displayed
7. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the region required or "0" for all regions
8. Press the "Setup" button on the remote
9. Press "OK" on the remote

Excellent Player, Owned it for Over a Year now 2007-10-30
I purchased this DVD player over a year ago and I have yet to find a format it won't play. It has not failed in any manner, it is quick and easy to move from one TV to another, and I am now going to buy another one. I have other region-free DVD players, but they didn't support all the formats this one does. The drawbacks are the limited scanning capabilities and the difficulty of use if you lose the remote control (LOL). Still, I've yet to find another one even close to being this ultra-compatable.

W........O........W!!!! 2007-10-16
I just received this order today. It really came fast. I really like how you can plug in your usb. This region free dvd player is a must have!!!!

Just as Advertised! Very Impressed! 2008-01-24
I am very happy with the ALL Region Philips DVD player I ordered for my boyfriend for Christmas. I had to purchase this, so that he could watch a region 3 movie. First, the shipment came so quickly--in time for Christmas, and was well packaged. I was especially happy to know that it was easy to get in contact with customer service, to ask any questions I had about the DVD player itself. All as advertised, I would definately recommend a friend buying items from this company. The DVD player itself worked well, money well spent.

Great DVD player! 2008-01-18
We purchased this DVD player after returning from living in Germany for 2 years. We have many PAL DVDs. The machine plays all of our DVDs well. We are totally satisfied with the quality and service we have received.

EXCELLENT!!! 2008-01-14
Arrived very well packaged, in excellent condition, and very quickly! Does everything I wanted it to do, and it's great to finally be able to view some of my non-US DVD's!

Great piece of kit ! 2008-01-09
Being Brits in NY, we have so missed our favourite English comedies, and now can not believe that we waiting this long before getting a multi-regional player.
It arrived very quickly, and in good condition. There was no special set-up required (or progamming), and we just popped in a disc and worked straight away.
This piece of equipment is great, and excellent value for money.
