Tons of Fun

This game really is fun. The whole family enjoys it. I wish they would come up with a more kid friendly Guitar Hero without all the scantily clad girls, and rough Band members. Obviously the creators of the game are trying to be realistic. I know it is rated T for a reason. However if you have kids that are not quite teenagers yet - the graphical characters can be a bit too much. My 8 year old son suggested a Mario Brothers Guitar Hero version - maybe they should hire him as a consultant.

I have always played guitar hero and this one didn't let me down. Great song list. Great downloadable songs. Never had a problem with the wireless guitar. After playing this one and going back and playing Guitar Hero 2, this one is harder then the others. Love the challange. Can't wait till the new one comes out.
Great game, many features. 2008-06-17
This is one of those games that you can break out when you have friends or family over and have fun. Very challenging game, I don't think anyone has 100% on Fire and Flames in expert, the online play is a little laggy and I was expecting a larger selection of downloadable content. Still a great game.
Great stuff, and awesome music 2008-06-14
I only had to play this game once to get hooked. I was over at a friend's house, and I got booed offstage on my first try.
I bought it for myself, and it's the only game I play (until NCAA 09 comes out).
I love the song selection, the gameplay is awesome, and I highly recommend it.
Guitar Hero III- a hero for all ages. 2008-05-29
This is my first purchase in the Guitar Hero series. I must say, it was worth the investment. I recently bought it as a graduation gift to myself and have yet to be disappointed.
The Les Paul wireless guitar only adds to the experience. It is seamless in every way. One would think there is a delay or downtime between the guitar and game, but that is not so. The controls are easy to use and if you are a veteran guitar player you should have no problem sliding up and down to hit the correct keys.
As far as playability goes, it is fantastic. There are so many options to choose from and co-op and multi-player mode are even more fun. My housemate and I have spent hours swapping turns playing songs and doing our best to get "signed".
The only con I have with this game is the fact that one cannot create his/her own player. You are required to select your rocker from a pre-set of already designed musicians. Otherwise, the game is one rocking hell of a time.
Guitar Hero III 2008-07-15
I finally decided to buy this game after buying rock band only for the guitar. I feel the guitar is a lot better than the one from rock band and the beats are easier to read. I don't like the fact you can't buy the songs in-game like rock band though, which is really not that big a deal.

First I'd like to say that ps3 and xbox, do not know how to make it compatible with HD T.V.s, which most T.V.s are these days. I cannot play guitar 3 anymore on my HD tv now. You can callabrate and callabrate over and over and it seems that there is always a lag. It was extremely frustrating to be playing and then have to callabrate it play and callabrate it again.
Now if you're playing on a regular tv this will not be a problem, but then the song selection isnt great. For me, once all the songs are unlocked i find myself playing the same few songs over and over because i don't really care to play the others. "My name is Jonas" by weezer, "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam, and to name a few more, "Cliffs of Dover" and "Suck my Kiss" are awesome to play. But I think there are a few things that should be changed. For example you can't play multiplayer on different levels and play the whole song with out battling. To me that sucks.
It also is a little damper that in order to unlock a few songs you have to play a co-op career, i would like to be able to unlock all the songs on my own career. The graphics aren't amazing, but thats not really why one would by this game.
All and all it is fun to play the songs you like, and to feel apart of the music. guitar hero has kinks to work out for sure, but if you're a big fan of the other guitar heros then you will love this. A better song selection would have been nice, good bands but not good songs from the bands i think was the issue for me.
Amazon great as always. 2008-06-30
I have been debating taking the plunge on this game for a long time. For several months I have been simply playing it at friends' and refusing to sink $100 into something I might get bored with. Fortunately Amazon had this bundle at $75, which was just too good to pass up.
When the package arrived it looked as thought it had received a good knock in shipping and I was worried that something would be damaged. Sure enough, the whammy bar was broken which made it impossible to pass the first battle with Tom Morello. A quick visit to the Amazon return center had a replacement on the way via UPS next day air. I can't say enough good things about Amazon.com, especially their customer service.

Can't beat the value on this bundle, normally the guitar by itself cost that much.
I payed $59.99 delivered to my door.
Now I can play in co-op mode.
