I would not risk my money on this!!

I bought one of this in a Walmart store in Tampa a couple months ago.
It worked nicely at the beginning, but al of the sudden it just stopped working, thus representing a total waste of money.
Sorry about this poor opinion, Samsung, but that's the truth.

Excellent inexpensive device!

One of the other reviewers is exactly right: Those writing poor reviews are either computer illiterate or not running Windows (Unix or MAC). If you are running Windows and know what you are doing, this device works great! No need to load any software to use it and it acts exactly like another physical drive even if a letter is not assigned to it. The controls are very small and hard to control if you are, say, working out but that's only a minor inconvenience for a player this small. I had an older Samsung model (The size of a cigarette lighter instead thie size of a stick of gum!)and bought this one for my sister and she is thrilled. I wouldn't hesitate to recommned this to anyone looking for a small and very inexpensive MP3 player!
nice, simple, and to the point

I like it, it simple to use, no USB cables to store or possible loose. Only draw backs are its capacity, the blinking light (which works great when jogging at night), and touch buttons are really sensitive; Im not kidding when I say that a fly landed on the skip button and skipped to the next song...otherwise enjoy!
Great Value

It sounds good and is small, also like the FM.
It was a good price for a 2G MP3.
Good device for some

I don't have any complaints about the device it self. It was easy to use, easy to find songs, and the sound was 4 and half of 5 star quality. However, use alternate headphone's then the lame ones that come with this one, a lot of people think the sound of this device is bad, but it's actually just the headphones.
It contains the features you expect, such as random play, search etc.. and also has some cool effects I wish my ipod came with, like being able to slow down a song, or make it play faster.
I have not experiences any problems connecting it to the computer. You simple snap a button and the usb slot pops out ready to be plugged into the usb port of a computer. (no cables needed) and using the Samsung Studio is very simple to use... i'm not sure if ITUNES or anything else worked for it, but it's a simple matter of doing something similar, find your songs, and click send to the mp3 player, or drag n drop them, euhh, i cant remember, but it was easy.
The only negative thing i have to say about it is my screen no longer works. But it's my fault really, I was working as a contractor, and being shuffled around in your pocket and being dropped on the floor, and leaving it in moist sweaty pockets, i suppose you would expect something like this to not really withstand those conditions.
However, if you used it for home use, car, or work in an office or something, it would be ok. But if you had a job like mine, this is not the product for those on the go all the time. Unless you can find a hard cover or something to put it into to protect it.
YP-U3JQB very cool

Very nice system. The touch based controls are nice, but do make it difficult at the gym when I want to change the volume. I think the hold button might be designed a bit better. Great sound and contols beyond those very minor complaints.
Good , Simple,functionable..

This is a good MP3 player , It is simple to use . It plugs right into my Laptop and I can click and sync music right away in Windows Media Player. The downside is the player when I am running or working out the sound cuts out because the connection to the headphones is a piece of crap.If you are buying an MP3 player for running or anything that is gonna be jostle the cord around very much don't buy this player.
Excellent Choice

I have had this mp3 player for a few weeks now and really love it. Like another
reviewer I use Ubuntu Linux; but for me this player works perfectly with the
Amarok software. As others have noted this device is not a flash drive, so if
that is what you want get something else.
Pluses:
Good sound. Very cheap! FM radio works great (I live in a city).
Plays ogg vorbis -- most of my music is in this format.
Built-in USB connector is great -- no batteries/charger no USB cable.
Did I mention CHEAP.
Minuses:
I wish it were 4Gb. I didn't like the earbuds it came with, but I
bought a pair I like.
Mixed:
It is quite small and light -- I like this; it fits in a shirt pocket;
other reviewers found this problematic.
It uses MTP rather than a VFAT file system (like flash devices). This
is why it can't be used as a flash drive with windows. It needs some
software to work like Amarok or RhythmBox under linux.
Returned, very unhappy with it.

This is what I think of this product.
Firstly, I thought that Samsung would be able to read Japanese since its HQ is base in S. Korea. I'm not confusing and culture here, it just that a lot of Japanese product are able to read Korean so I thought it would be vise versa.
Anyway, some thing other than the language support.
-The USB is weak and will likely break if something hit it.
-The button on it looks like a good ideas, but it really is not. There don't even glow too. No indication of which button do what at all, and will likely cause problem when you try to reach in your pocket to change song.
-The OS suck(I don't know how to describe it, I just hate it)
-Annoying light that keep beeping(For WHAT?)
-The belt clip and made from cheap plastic.
-WOn't even transfer files if with my laptop that run Vista.
The price is also quite high when you can get the creative 4gb version for a little more.
nice unit

I wanted a reasonably priced MP3 player and I got it with the Samsung YP-U3JQB. The only knock on it so far is that the touch controls are very sensitive so you must have good finger dexterity and patience in operating the MP3 player.
