Not For The Kindle

This product maybe a good product for "general" use but it's too bulky and hard to deal with if you want to use it with the Kindle. I bought it because it was advertised with the Kindle.
It was disproportioned to the size of the Kindle. It is larger than one might think looking at the picture.
It would be great to use with larger hardback books...or clipped to a bookcase to light the titles of the books...but not for the Kindle.

VERY BRIGHT light, dual brightness is a plus. But the battery compartment (3 AAA) is the clip too, and it is heavy on a paperback. Would be fine for a hard-cover.
On a paperback you have to "clip" about 30 pages to keep it steady.
Gooseneck is very lightweight, yet secure.
Lights up My World

This is one of the handiest things Ive purchased in a long time! It was so convenient, I purchased a second one. I clip one on my nightstand lamp so I can still see when my spouse is sleeping. Its perfect lighting for night, whether reading or dressing. I keep the other beside my chair for reading. I may end up buying a third. I love these!
Great well built light 2008-06-26
This is my 3rd - and the best by FAR book light that I have owned.
The first one had a separate battery pack for 4 C cell batteries. There was a small cord that connected the pack to the light. Needless to say, the back was cumbersome and the wire eventually broke from wear.
The second one was from Sharper Image. Much more portable, but the battery door broke within the first 3 months. I tried to tape the door closed, but I was never able to keep battery contact for the light to work.
I found this light by searching for bestselling book lights. At first I thought it was only meant for the Kindle because of the reviews. Don't be mislead this works very well with "traditional books" too!
It's constructed very well. The flexible neck is long enough to cover big hardbacks in bright light. The dual level light is a nice touch, but I'm not sure if I'll ever use it.
In short, if you need a light to read in low light conditions. Buy this one. Especially if you willing to trade portability for construction.
Great light for Kindle 2008-06-26
I bought this light about a month ago and really like it. It fits nicely on the M-edge case I also bought for my Kindle. I really enjoy reading in bed with the light at night and it is so easy to position and gives plenty of light on the low setting.
Does the trick 2008-07-08
This little light does the trick for me. Other book lights I have bought were cheaper but were plastic and fell apart very easily. This light gives off adequate light to read by in the dark. There is a slight glare against the Kindle screen, but you can either tilt the light a little to reduce the glare or just twist your wrist a little to continue down the page. This is probably going to be the case regardless of what type of light you buy, and like I said, just a minor annoyance. I really liked it. I bought this for my Kindle and read my Kindle with the cover on. So clipping this to the cover is not a problem. It really does not add any noticeable weight for me, and if my hands get tired, I just set the Kindle in my lap anyway. All in all, I am very pleased with this light and would highly recommend it.

Not quite right for Kindle 2008-07-05
There is no doubt that this flex light has plenty of brightness to it, but I just have not figured out a way to have it not produce glare on my Kindle screen. I really think it's too tall for the kindle to use comfortably and will try to find some smaller and a bit less brilliant. It's a great product for any other use.
The Best Booklight Ever 2008-07-04
I have bought several book lights over the years and find the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 to be the best yet. It is much more flexible than any of the others and can be easily positioned so there is no glare or reflexion of the light on the Kindle. It easily clamps to the back cover of the Kindle or of a book. The two levels of lighting are helpful in different lighting situations. It would be nice to have a protective pouch to carry it in when traveling.

You wouldn't think something so small could be so powerful...but this is. It's a great accessory...so good in fact, I purchased another and gave it as a gift to the person who turned me onto the Kindle!
