Editorial Review
The bandwidth required to deliver HDMI’s ultra-high resolution audio and video places incredible demands on your digital A/V connections. Inferior cable construction, coupled with the high-speed and enormous amount of data transferred increases the potential for A/V systems to deliver degraded performance. With Monster HDMI 500HD, you’ll get all the performance you expect from your home theater system and achieve the optimum sound and picture your HDMI-enabled gear is designed to deliver. Its triple-layer shielding protects your signal from outside interference, even over long cable runs. The heavy-duty internal dual-strain construction, durable gold-plated internal connector shielding, and corrosion resistant 24k gold contacts ensure that your investment will not only provide the necessary bandwidth for exceptional color and sound, but that it will be a durable, lasting investment in your home theater setup.

Send $10 to me for info on how not to get ripped off 2008-09-06
I'll keep this real short. Waste of money. I have two $2.00 HDMI cables and a 47" 1080P LCD. It cannot possibly get any better with ANY cable. It is impossible. Read the other 1 Star reviews for the scientific reasons if you want and save yourself $90.

Worth for the money 2008-09-01
A Cheaper cable may be good enough if you have 720P or 60Hz TVs. But if you have 1080P and 120Hz TV, then dont compromise the quality with a less expensive cable. I agree this monster cable is surely expensive one, but if you want to get the exceptional picture quality then dont give second thought of going for a less expensive cable. Initially I tried with a less expensive cable before switching to this monster cable. I am really satisfied with the result and would strongly recommend to others.

Monster HDMI To the Rescue 2008-08-30
Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable (4 meters)

We bought a new 52" Samsung HD Flat Screen TV for our remodeled den. I did not think the cables were that important and bought a cheap HDMI cable for our new TV. I was so unhappy with the picture. We have a 46" Samsung that has an outstanding picture with lots of HD details, but I had used a Monster HDMI cable with it. After I ordered the Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable, I could see a remarkable difference in the picture on our new TV. They cost more, but they are worth it!

The Ultimate cable 2008-08-30
If you own a digital TV the Monster HDMI 1000HD Ultra-High Speed Cable is a must.

Its pricey, but If you want crisp clear pictures on your investment in a hi-def color TV that's the way to go.

The instructional DVD that comes with it is a masterpiece. It answers most of the frequently asked questions about hooking up your TV and other components for the best enjoyment.

The seller was true to his word and delivered as promised. I highly recommend them.

Excellent product with Excellent price 2008-08-30
It works excellent for my Sony Blu-ray disc player and my HDTV. The price is very reasonable. I hope you won't miss this chance to get one for yourself.

Nice cable. 2008-08-16
What are we talking about here? A cable. It works fine, but I know I paid too much for it, just as you will always pay a premium for 'Monster' branded products.

For those that are throwing money away... throw some my direction. 2008-08-16
Following my review here is the HDMI spec currently which supports the full color depth..notice the bandwidth. Therefore... any cable that you buy that says HDMI 1.3 Category 2 can do *gasp* 10.2 Gbit/s (340MHz) bandwidth. Amazon here has plenty for less than 1 tenth of this and a quick search at my favorite place to buy cables would let me buy $30 for the price of one of these.

Also, money does not equal quality when it comes to cables. I got some high quality Monster cables in a set a number of years ago (big time clearance and it was all the store carried and I wanted it that day). The first time I went to move three of the RCA ends on 2 different style cable stayed inside my amp when I pulled them straight back. I have used probably 100 different RCA, digital coax, and component video cables and Monster brand are the only ones I've ever had break.

So again, if you like paying $100 for something the company makes for $5, I'd rather you just send me the $95 if you really don't need it that bad. I have 6 HDMI cables hooked up right now... so at a savings of $95 per cable that is $570...which payed for my PS3 and an extra game. When it comes to digital... it just plain does not matter.

I felt like i needed it 2008-08-14
I bought a monster 500 cable for $80 at the Navay Exchange when i purchased my Sony 46 Bravia TV. Some months later I searched on EBAY and I found out that i can get this cable for a lot cheaper then what i paid for the 500. I now have 3 of these in my house for my girlfriend's PS3 and 360 in the living room and my PS3 in the bedroom. I left the 500 hooked up to the cable box. The only thing i have compared this product to was the original av cables which suck due to the fuzzyness. I love the picture quality and sound that i get from the Monster Ultra and if i am able to afford a $1800 tv, Yamaha Surround sound, then i can afford these cables.

If you look on the monster website, it will tell you what cable is recomended for each system.

Why take a chance??? 2008-08-08
I just spent $2500 on a top of the line Samsung 52 inch 1080p LCD, and I also got this cord of $99. Myabe Monster is better. Maybe it isn't. But there is no shot I'm taking a chance with a $5 or $10 dollar cord. Especially when people out there say they notice a difference. Even if I got ripped off, which may be the case, the extra 90 bucks is worth my piece of mind.
