Working well for me 2008-06-26
Purchased in the middle of June 2008, burning well on a Mac Pro with a Sony DVD RW DW-D150A burner using Toast.

Not one coaster. 2008-06-26
I've been backing up my DVD collection and ran through one of these packs already. I had no problems whatsoever. I burned them all at 4x because of some of the complaints I heard and not knowing whether my drive supported it. So there it is. A+ for Memorex.

Memorex comment 2008-06-25
I like memorex,I been use it since almost coming to the market the blank DVD's,Memorex was one of mine first choices, first because the low price compare to others brands, and second,When I bought my third computer, and the dvd recorder fail to burned my dvds, I took my computer to the store where I bougth it,they replace it with a memorex dvd burner, since then I fell in love with the brand, I still had the same computer since then and the same memorex in the computer still working ,I built another computer for Me and the dvd burner is another memorex.my suggest for those who are looking for a good dvd brand I suggest MEMOREX!!!!!!!

Serious quality control problems!!! One set worked, another didn't!!! 2008-06-22
I might be the only person here who's had 2 completely different experiences with these.

I bought one set a while back (six months?). I burned all the disks and had very few problems. At that time, I would have recommended these with 5 stars.

Then I bought my second set. I think 2 out of the first 12 or so have even worked at all!

Besed on that, I'd have to say ONLY buy these if you have an easy and reliable way to return them as defective after you've tried a few. I'd say buy 'em, try 3 from various spots in the spindle, and return them if 2 out of the 3 are defective.

This is worthless 2008-06-20
So i read all the reviews before buying this and against better judgement, i went ahead with the purchase thinking that i need to test this product out for myself before making any judgements.

Shipping was pretty fast, so i cant really blame the seller for anything besides carrying this god aweful product and the first thing i did was burn an image that was about 7GB in size. The burn failed halfway through the process and i thought to myself, "CRAP." I tried about five more discs with different images of different sizes and all I was able to burn were coasters. So i thought maybe i can use these to burn single layer discs, so i selected some images under 4GB and the same thing happened. I made about 10 coasters/frizbees before i gave up. I ended up ordering some Verbatim discs from newegg and all five DL discs that i burned turned out fine, so there is definetely nothing wrong with my setup. If you dont believe me, i can send you some samples as i have about 40 pieces left of this useless media that i can send to whoever wants to try.

The moral of this story is you should read the reviews. Although some people have reported no problems, there are a lot who have, so there is definetely a problem here and the only way this will get resolved is if no one buys this product. This will force the manufacturer to rethink the quality of their products.

worst discs ever 2008-06-30
discs dont work. buy verbatim. if u buy these buy from amazon so u can get refunded if they dont work

so far so good 2008-06-30
this is the second set of these that i've bought and i don't have any real complaints... there are always a few "coasters" in every spindle i've bought, regardless of the brand... these are cheap compared to others that i've priced and they work just as well. i would recomend them to just about anyone looking for dual layer discs.

Waste of Money! 2008-06-30
So after spending a full weekend burning a bunch of these, I come to find out almost all of them have some kind of issue about 3/4 into the movie to where they are not playable. Only about 2 out of 10 worked with no issues. What a waste of time and money. Read the other reviews. Don't buy these. Since I have already used about 10, they are probably not returnable so what a waste of $50 and a lot of time burning them! If I could have given no stars, I would have.

Memorex DVD-DL discs 2008-06-29
There is a bad problem in writing to these discs. Even several DVD Software programs warn against using them.

Double layer DVD 2008-06-28
These Memorex double layer DVD+R discs perform as expected. I use these discs for recording files or programs that are too large to fit on a single layer DVD. Backups of my operating system or diagnostic programs are two examples - things that can't be compressed to fit on a single layer DVD.
