Editorial Review
It's the wired mouse that reinvents the wheel - the scroll wheel. Mighty Mouse features the amazing Scroll Ball that lets you move anywhere inside a document, literally without lifting a finger. And with touch-sensitive technology concealed under the seamless top shell, you can choose either the versatility of a four-button mouse or the simplicity of a single-button beauty.

Absolutely awful 2008-05-23
built quality is absolutely not convincing. Scroll-ball function broke after
only 3 months of use.

Apple mouse 2008-05-01
What can one say? If you have a Mac without a scroll wheel, you need this and once you use it for a day, you wonder how you lived without it. I actually bought it because my scroll wheel mouse died and I needed a new one. I am not a wireless kind of guy, so I did not want the wireless version.

Scroll wheel breaks quickly 2008-04-21
Apple's Mighty Mouse is a light, aesthetically pleasing mouse with nice customizable buttons. It would be great if only it were durable. On two different models the scroll wheel died on me within a few months.

This thing is too flimsy to justify the cost. Go with a third-party mouse like a Logitech instead. Stay away from Apple's mice until they improve the durability.

having switched from a pc to mac within the last year, the last thing to go was my old pc mouse, which i was very happy with. switched, took about 2 hours to get used to, and couldn't be happier! (just make sure you go into mouse preferences to enable right click functionality!)

wireless mighty mouse 2008-04-05
I like the wireless mouse. But it is noisy with squeaks , a little stiff
and I cannot find out how to adjust the speed on it like the wired model.
I wish my wired model still worked it won't scroll both up and down .

Mighty Mouse 2008-07-15
This is one of those items that you either hate or love. In my case, a Mighty Mouse came with my computer when I bought it last year and I'm one of those who like it a lot. My wife also really likes it so I bought another one for her computer. I believe that most complaints come from the fact that it's default settings enable the extra "buttons" and with those activated it tends to be too sensitive. A slight squeeze or a little pressure to one side or the other of the nose end will activate something you may not want. Likewise a little extra pressure on the track ball may cause some unexpected action. So the first thing I did was to deactivate all secondary buttons and use it as a one button trackball mouse until I got used to it. Then I re activated a feature or two on the other buttons that I really want to use. Now both my wife and I are big fans.

I guess they had to make it different... 2008-07-14
I'll be brief here.

Pros: integration with the OS, cool looks, nice feel of that little ball massaging your finger. And, yes, almost forgot - finally an "official" Apple mouse with right click!

Cons: 1) at least in my unit, right clicking too often produces a left click; 2) for my fingers, the "side squeeze" is awkward; 3) after ~ a year, the little ball quit working for scrolling down (still works for scrolling up). There is no obvious way to open the mouse up for cleaning - and it is a good moment to note that I am a tidy person who won't sit typing and mousing with his hands greasy... It is probably discussed on all those forums how to clean a mighty mouse, but I guess I'll just get another Logitech mouse.

I am an enthusiastic Mac user but hardly a fanboy. 2 stars for this one.

TOO MUCH COOL, TOO LITTLE PRACTICALITY 2008-06-28
The Mighty Mouse is a good example of Apple letting cool get in the way of useful.

My use of q-tips and alcohol has gone way up since I got this mouse...I am constantly having to clean it when the scroll wheel stops working.

I have wired and wireless versions. The wireless mouse needs a battery stat indicator. I usually have to restart my iMac several times before I find out it's just an underpowered mouse that's the problem.

Meanwhile.... my cheap, 5-year-old Logitech just keep on working like a champ.

Great deal! 2008-06-18
This was a great purchase. It came on time, well packaged, and works just fine :) Thank you

Worse then any mouse I've ever used. 2008-06-07
This is a HORRIBLE product. ANY mouse I've ever used, including the ones that are too small for my hands, are very superior to this one. The only good thing about it is that it is pretty.
The scroll is so "easy to use" it just goes off whenever you bump a finger into it, not to mention that it scrolls down when you use the scroll as a button.
The side buttons make your hand hurt because they are so hard to press, and the one button idea turns this into a complete junk.
If you ever wish to click right while pressing left or the other way around well, you won't. If you ever wish to keep the one main button pressed for a long time, it becomes very hard since its so big/heavy to keep down.
In short, dont buy this.
