He thought it was the best thing. He records his own breakdancing because it is so easy to use. The quality of the movies is terrific. It is lots of fun!

I bought the Flip Video camera based on David Pogue's (New York Time's Circuits column) review and am not disappointed. The camera's ease of use and portability have already allowed me to shoot videos that I would not have with my full featured mini-dv camera. Sure, you sacrafice certain features, control and output quality with the flip compared to a full featured camera, but I'm sure to capture more videos with the Flip than without.
Flip Camcorder FUN 2008-05-02
I love this little camcorder. Flip is a great name. I got to pick colors too. It's handy for those times when you want to record a moment, grandkids playing, pets being fun. You just point and shoot, and make a mini movie. The attachment to download pops out of the side of the Flip, seconds to download, and your ready to record again. You mess up and you can delete and start over. Great idea, fun to use. Would make a fun gift for any one, because it's easy to use!

Iff you have a MAC, don't buy this product!!!!!!!!!!! The movies don't work in iMovie, they have a unrecognizable codecs in movies..... I lost all my best movies.
Flip Vid 2008-05-02
Flip Video is a great little camcorder, it is truly as simple as they say. The biggest problem I have with it is the e-mailing of a video is not as easy as stated. Maybe it is because I have just started to use Vista and there might be issues with e-mailing Flip Video's stuff on Vista (as Vista has numerous issues with everything). But, if I can ever master the transferring thing then I would have a 100% camcorder.

To me, the 5-star reviews are right. The picture quality is quite good, even in the house. User instructions are very clear and direct, something rare with many products. Construction feels solid, and it looks good. One reviewer labeled it, "Amazing". I agree.
My first attempt at video 2008-05-11
This video camera is idiot-proof. And the quality is amazing. Just don't forget that to edit your videos, you have to plug the camera into your computer. Well worth the money!!!
Great Purchase 2008-05-11
Purchased this camera for my husband. We've used it a lot already; don't have to purchase cd's or tapes, batteries last a long time. I am very pleased overall -- the only thing I would change is putting a pause button to have one long video instead of several small ones. Very easy to transfer to other media and very easy to view via television set.
Just what I need 2008-05-11
As someone who would not use a camcorder very often, this is perfect. I would use it on vacation, film demolition derbies at the county fair, take it to the Chicago Auto Show, and other special occasions. Setup is just putting in batteries, turning it on and you are ready. I had no problem imputing the correct time and date. Recording is as easy as pressing the red button to start, and then to stop. Playback is just pressing the play button, selecting which video to watch and thats it. The screen may only be just over an inch, but I found it works very well. So if you are looking for a camcorder just for occasional use, I highly recomend the Flip Ultra.
