Petzl headlamp OK

The Petzl Tikka Plus works fine and is the second Petzl headlamp I've owned. Very bright and easy to use. My only concern is the housing, which is made of relatively cheap plastic. It might not stand up to heavy use.

Great product!! Our son requested this for his birthday and is very pleased with the headlamp. He is an avid outdoors man and is very picky about the quality of the products he uses. This was tops on his request list and the headlamp far exceeded his expectations. The headband is comfortable and easy to adjust. The headlamp moves l-r and up-down. It has several light adjustments including a flashing feature. The color was also awesome!!! He is very satisfied with this headlamp.

The quality of these headlamps are awesome. The previous reviews on Amazon really helped my choice and we are thrilled with the quality and power of the light on these headlamps! This Petzl brand is definitely the one to buy!
A must have for outdoorsmen 2008-02-08
My husband and I live in Alaska and are avid outdoorsmen. In the winter we have a lot less light, this headlamp is awesome for all out activites. The light is bright and I love how the lamp is adjustable.
Fantastic Piece of Equipment 2008-01-29
This headlight is light, lasts a long time, and takes up virtually no space in my backpacking pack. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to all outdoor enthusiasts and other with a need for a light.

An ultra-lightweight 4-LED headlamp with 3 brightness settings (maximum, optimum, economic) and a blinking mode. It sports batteries life of up to to 150 hours on regular settings (up to 400 hours on blinking mode). It's water resistant and comfortable to wear. Adjustable elastic headband for comfort and to secure it in place. Focus Type: Fixed.
Perfect Light for Home & Travel 2007-06-05
This is an excellent product - I always bring it with me in my backpack.
I'm writing another review because my wife likes these so much she wants one with a soft headband now. I still the think the clever design of the headband (the older Zipkas) and how it retracts into the back of the light for storage, is genius. But to each their own. Either way, very well done!
We lose power constantly in NH and I've used one of the Zipka headlamps for about 5-6 years. You can't beat these Petzl lights - 150 hours before you have to replace the batteries?? That's tough to beat. Also, these things weigh about 65-90 grams. That's right. You can't even tell you're wearing them. My wife finds the pressure on the forehead a little annoying so she wears hers on top of a baseball cap.

- white light makes it much easier to perform tasks like reading
- batteries last forever (150 hours?)
- so light you can't tell you're wearing it
- so small and light, I bring it with me in my backpack wherever I go
- solid construction - never had any problems
- I've never had any issues with the 3-LED but the four is even better of course.
