Great for hand skills

I am a pediatric occupational therapist and I love this for my students. Helps facilitate a good wrist position, which in turn helps facilitate a good grasp. I use this with little pieces of q tips and cotton balls too.

I bought this for my Grandchildren and they seem to like it.
I wish that the pencil tool had a lid, it seems to dry out fairly quickly and it only comes with one.
All in all, I think it was a good value.
Fun but flimsy

As other reviewers have mentioned, this mat is very thin. And by very I mean VERY. I ended up buying some foamboard and adhesive spray and then taping the edges down so that there was a more solid surface behind it. Our wall has texture and there would be no way this mat would last a week otherwise. I only paid $2.00 for it though so I guess I can't complain.
Hours of Fun for 2 Year Old 2008-05-02
It might not look like much, but my child drew for hours and hours every day for 3 months. That's about as long as any good toy keeps interest. I would recommend buying an extra pen or two, though. If you have a playmate or if you lose the one pen, then you're in trouble.
A surprise hit! 2008-02-26
My 8 year old wanted this for Christmas, and I thought he was crazy (that is was way to young for him). Got it anyway, and everyone loves it. It's so simple, and I guess that's why it works. It hangs in our hallway, and my kids and their friends will stop and draw or write something whenever they feel like it. It's a hit for my 5 year old, 8 year old, and their 9 and 10 year old cousins!

Just add water to the aqua pen and start having some drawing fun. No washing needed - designs dry and disappear in minutes. Includes Doodle wall mat with reusable wall adhesive and aqua pen. Mat is easy to hang and remove with no damage to walls. Reuse again and again. The mat is jumbo sized - measuring 28" x 27".

It was a bit different than expected for me but the kids couldn't be happier! It hangs on the fridge and I've already had to get extra pens so they could play together, they couldn't wait to play!
writing on the walls 2008-01-03
i have 3 children so i have alot of writting on the walls. I figured i would try this out and see how it works. THIS IS GREAT. I will be ording at least two more of these. The kids have a great time with these. THe only recommendation i have is to get extra pens.
Feels like thin paper 2007-12-09
Although I appreciated the size of the Wall Mat, it is NOT made out of the same material as the regular AquaDoodle. It feels more like paper, does not dry as quick, and gets dirty. The durability is awful. We tossed the Wall Mat into the trash after only a few uses, and I replaced it with the Classic AquaDoodle. It is a much better product.
Better off with the original 2007-10-20
My daughter celebrated her birthday and recieved one of theses as a gift. She already has the floor mat so I was excited to see how this worked.
It's perfect for doodling, practicing letters and numbers and whatever you can think of.
I'm a bit dissapointed with the quality it's very thin and rips easily. For the price you might as well nail or thumb tack the floor mat to the wall as it's far more durable than this. I have no complaints about the pen leaking water as it's a very small amount of water in the pen and it's water not ink so it's a very clean toy.
