Dentist Clean Feeling

I used a Sonicare for 4 years before Ultreo and was pleased with the results. I think the Ultreo is even better and my teeth are noticably whiter. It really makes your teeth sqeeky clean.
My only concern is that the Ultreo will be as durable as the Sonicare. Some Amazon Members have mentioned problems with the Ultreo 6 months after purchase. The Ultreo comes with a 2 year warranty so that eases my concern somewhat.
If the Ultreo is as well made as the Sonicare and lasts for 4 years, I would say to go Ultreo.

I have been using the Ultreo toothbrush for about 6 months and I find it relatively lackluster, but OK. I think the head is too big and therefore a bit sloppy. It also vibrates a lot, which doesn't feel great in my hand or mouth.
It gets my teeth clean , but I don't get that same WOW clean feeling I used to get from my Sonicare.
I saw these advertised at my dentist's office a few weeks ago and I asked them about it. They said they don't see real difference between the efficacy of this brush over other sonic brushes. They said they may be seeing that for people with highly stain-prone teeth, the Ultreo loosens some of of the stain a bit better than Sonicare.
When this one dies, I'll most likely go back to Sonicare.
Expensive, but works extremely well

My husband and I have been using this product since last winter, and we are both very satisified with it. It does an amazing job of cleaning your teeth. We switched from an Oral B to this brush and I did hesitate due to the cost of the unit and the cost of the replacement brushes. The first time I went to the dentist after switching to the Ultreo, the hygenist told me what a great job I was doing with my teeth. If you are serious about your dental health, you should definitely consider the Ultreo.
Decent toothbrush 2008-08-04
I've been brushing my teeth with this brush for a few months now, however I can't find anything spectacular to warrant the price.
Observations:
The brush makes a pitched vibrating noise when in use.
The carrying case could have been designed smaller.
Replacement heads are over $20.
This electric toothbrush is NOT for people who brush hard.

This ultrasound toothbrush has been in use for six months. It has been used for about 45 sec twice a day, although the recommended use is 2 min twice a day. Tartar has decreased dramatically and pockets in gums were reduced in half. My dentist looked at my teeth and gums and promptly ordered one for his office. The toothbrush lasts for at least 6 months with my moderate use. I highly recommend this product compared to the Sonicare which I have used in the past. My frequency of hygienist appointments has decreased to two per year.

Nothing special and expensive replacement brushes

I've used Sonic Care for many years and have always been satisfied. When the rechargeable batteries finally failed I decided to shop for a new electric toothbrush. Ultreo was the latest and greatest and despite the relatively high cost I took the plunge. The unit just stopped working at the three month mark. The customer service was extremely helpful and replaced my handle without a hassle. It's really no better than anything else I've used and the replacement heads are REALLY expensive. One thing that really drives me nuts is that about twenty-five percent of the time toothpaste tends to run down the handle and splatter down the front of my shirt... I've never had that happen with any other toothbrush.

I have been using the Ultreo Toothbrush for about three months. It is a great product. I had been using the Braun Sonic toothbrush for years, but prefer the Ultreo Toothbrush. It leaves my teeth feeling like I have just had a professional cleaning by a dental hygenist. I highly recommend this product.
