I did A LOT of research before I committed to the Samsung and I can't describe how happy I am. The picture is amazing...it's the best of a plasma and LCD put together. 6ave was very efficient...had the TV within 3 days. The delivery service they used was very helpful in trying to work around my busy schedule. They did require someone to sign for the TV after we opened the box and inspected it. I highly recommend this product!!!!
NOT 120Hz -- AMAZON, PLEASE UPDATE PRODUCT TITLE

All the '81 series from Samsung do not have 120Hz processing at all. Instead they claim to cycle the backlight to provide a 120Hz-like improvement. I have not made the comparison to their '71 series with 120Hz, but I thought buyers should beware.

I already have a 52"Sony Bravia which is absolutely an excellent Television. I read and heard a lot of good reviews about Samsung so I decided to try it out for the second TV that I was planning to get exclusively for myself. Although in the beginning, my plan was to get another Sony. Since I own one I knew for a fact that Sony was great. I still wanted to check out the other similar grade TV's in the market before I made my final selection. When I went to the show room and saw the SAMSUNG it was love at first sight. Samsung stood out in it's contemporary sleek-elegant design and the superior picture quality. The super bright vibrant picture side by side compared to all other TV's in the store was simply outstanding. My mind became set on it. I still dealt with my urge and decided not to get the TV right away, but do some research like I do with all my electronics. Over all I could not take a risk on such a pricey item without being absolutely sure. Since this product was fairly new to the market I did not find very many reviews about it in the net. Whatever review were out, they were all good ones speaking very highly about the product - even the reviews from the critics were excellent. I managed to get the manual ahead of time and went through it- every detail comparing it with my other TV and TV's of my friends and relatives. The comparisons were very impressive. This TV seemed to offer a lot more than all other TV, s of the same category. For example to be able upgrade the features of the TV via USB, the 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, due to LED Smart-Lighting technology etc. Now much convinced with the knowledge and not solely by the infatuation, I went to Best Buy and got my highly anticipated toy home. I couldn't wait to be able to experience the TV first hand.
Picture quality: Extremely high picture quality. The details are extraordinary. The warm color and the super bright picture really stand out. I was truly skeptical about paying the extra money for the LED feature. But it seriously makes a difference. It automatically adjusts the brightness of the image on a frame by frame basis, ensuring deep black levels and allowing subtle details to be seen. When you compare it with your other TV you can really feel the difference. Game mode enhances dark areas, sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing response and enhances the sound. It's been a remarkable gaming experience for me with this TV. In fact my Sony PS3 is hooked up to the Samsung now instead of the Sony. The remote is very easy to use, and the set up is very quick and easy. It's been more than two months and I have not returned to my SONY. So I have to say SONY is a great TV, but this Samsung is simply Amazing. If it's in your budget don't think twice JUST GET IT. If it's not...it's still worth spending a little extra for it."
