Editorial Review
It's been called Nickelodeon's answer to Hannah Montana, but The Naked Brothers Band is more like a latter-day Partridge Family, only you get the sense that Nat and Alex Wolff--stars of the TV series, singers in the band, and real-life brothers--lead way more balanced lives than Danny Bonaduce ever did. So it doesn't come as much of a surprise that, with the exception of "Banana Smoothie," a song that sounds extracted from a Wiggles record and grooved up for a slightly older audience, they've crafted a solid debut CD. Where the Partridges had a handful of memorable hooks and killer harmonies, the Nakeds--Nat and Alex and four non-related kid bandmates--have Beatle-y melodies and believably kid-like voices and themes. "Crazy Car," a dazed-sounding song, and one of this disc's strongest, steers straight at 8-year-olds, never minding whether it picks up any parent-age passengers (a la the Partridges) along the way. Ultimately, that's the draw--The Naked Brothers Band, the show, falls into the mock-reality category, but its depiction of a couple of kids who've hit the big time and can't quite get a grip keeps it real. The music, not too polished and not too serious, is true to form. If Nat and Alex keep collecting fans the way David Cassidy did before them, "If That's Not Love" could be the new "C'mon, Get Happy," "Beautiful Eyes" the new "I Think I Love You." --Tammy La Gorce

Naked Brothers Band CD 2008-06-22
We were very disappointed in this CD. As soon as we received it my daughter played it. It played 3 songs and stopped. We tried other CD players in the house and it didn't play at all. There is nothing wrong with any of the CD players and nothing visibly wrong with the CD. My 9 yr old was very disappointed as was I.

Nothing special, sorry 2008-04-03
These guys just dont quite cut it. Neither the lyrics nor the vocals are up to par for anyone over the age of 12. Nickelodeon's poor attempt to keep up with Disney. Don't look for these guys to be around for long.

Awesome Music for the Family!! 2008-02-09
I bought this CD for my 6 and 10 year old boys but I listen to it more than they do. It is a great CD for kids and adults. I highly recommend it.

My nephews love them... 2008-01-20
Highly recommended. My nephews are 9 and 6 y.o and love this CD and the show.

The kid LOVES it! 2008-01-12
Santa brought The Naked Brothers Band as a stocking stuffer for my 7 year old daughter! She's seen their show on Nickelodeon a few times and LOVES their song, "Alien Clones". She plays this CD every day when she's getting ready for school!

The Wolff brothers are extremely talented and creative. They write and play all of the music on the CD. It's not like one of those annoying "kids bop" CD's; this one is actually real music, written by kids for kids and is surprisingly tolerable to listen to if you're an adult.

Thanks Naked Brothers Band and Nickelodeon for a great, kid-friendly, and parent-tolerable CD!!!

Television Show?? Wow. 2008-01-01

NBB is BBN 2007-12-30
Naked Brothers Band is the Best Band from Nickelodeon. The Naked Brothers Band is the best band in history. The songs capture our inner feelings about life and day-to-day items. Nat sings If That's Not Love, Taxi Cab, Banana Smoothie, Crazy Car, Girl of My Dreams, Fishing for Love, I Indeed Can See, I'm Out, Sometimes I'll Be There, L.A., Beautiful Eyes, Run, and Nowhere (I Miss My Family). Alex sings I Could Be and Alien Clones. Of Nat's songs, I like Run, I'm Out, and If That's Not Love. Of Alex's songs, I prefer I Could Be. The songs are well played and backed up by the other band members: Thomas, David, Rosalina, and Qaasim. I fit this CD into my daily routine and am glad I got it.

those crazy kids... 2007-12-28
Not my personal favorite by any stretch but they're a big hit with the elementary school age kids and mine in particular LOVE them!

My Daughter LOVES It! 2007-12-28
I gave it five stars because my daughter, who is a Naked Bros Band fan, loves it. I actually was pleasantly surprised with the decent songs on it though it's obvious the younger brother has no singing ability. But if you're a fan (i.e., kid yourself) you'd probably love this album.

Reminds me a little of The Partridge Family.

Am I the only one who thinks this is totally over the top??? 2007-12-26
Well, there are nine great reviews ahead of me but my impressions of this CD are quite different. I feel that the music on this album is totally hyped up, over-compressed/produced and it seems to have one volume - LOUD - totally FM Radio sounding. Our family much prefers mellower tunes from artists like Dan Zanes, Elizabeth Mitchell, Jack Johnson and Johnny Bregar. It's great that the kids are writing and playing their own music - I totally support that and it is quite original. This is very much a "Kid Rock Star" type production that seems as if it's tilted slightly more toward the parents than the kids.

Lots of distorted guitars and high energy here. I really don't mean to disrespect the hard work that went into this project - nor do I mean to insult the nine people ahead of me who like this CD, but I feel that it it fits well into the TV watching, game playing, ADD modern society where chaos reigns - and this is a world that I'm trying hard to keep my kids out of.

Granted, my kids are one year and four years old, so perhaps we are not really the target market. And I do think from time to time, it's great to have some music where the kids can just let loose and dance their heads off. But I prefer something a bit less in-your-face sounding.
