Completely unreliable
2008-07-16
The Sansa clip MP3 player is a great bang for the buck - until it breaks. I've only been using mine for 2 months and it no longer turns on even after a full charge. After extensive searching I found i'm not the only one who has this problem but there is no posted solution for it. UPDATE: I'm waiting to hear back from their support staff regarding a replacement
awesom

This product is awesom,
very slick with all the features I wanted. memory is little small but enough for me.
FM, recording, mp3 playback, all works great.
only issue I had is connecting device on XP system. there is no CD for driver, so I need to find driver for this. other than this I liked it.
Hangs frequently, files cannot be deleted
2008-07-14
Although the product has a nice design and great price and sounds good, it is reliable. It hangs (locks up) frequently, and the only way to unhang it is to cycle the power. Files that were deleted via the computer still appear on the device, cannot be deleted with the device menu, and appear to be corrupted. If these problems were fixed it would be a great product.

Excellent MP3 for the money. Easy to use and the clip is perfect for what it is intended. Great for use during workouts.
BLOWS IPOD OUT OF THE WATER!

Buy this, you will NOT be sorry! way more features than the iPod, longer battery life, better sound quality, sexier and more fun. LOVE IT!
Great!

If you want a MP3 player that looks good, easy on the pocket, and packs a punch, this is what you want. Love mine and have bought several for family and friends
I love this little gadget!

I'm quite pleased. It was more than I expected. Really sounds crystal clear. Very easy to use and I would definitely recommend it.
I LOVE IT!

I don't see what is wrong with the electronics makers, giving a detailed explanation of how to operate their products. I read the little, skimpy, information that SANSA gives you. By trial and error, I learned how to work this little Black, handsome thing...and I LOVE IT! Pay no attention to the missing "instructional CD". It wasn't supposed to teach you how to work the machine, it was just for a download service. JUST READ THE SKIMPY LITTLE PAMPHLET. THEN PLAY AROUND WITH THE MACHINE AND YOUR COMPUTER. YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT! Man can this thing belt out some sound!
I DO NOT APPRECIATE THE FREE MUSIC LOADED INTO THE SANSA CLIP! LET THE CONSUMERS CHOOSE WHAT HE, OR SHE WANTS TO LISTEN TO! This is what radio was for, before corporate America took it over; FOR ALL ARTIST, TO LET THE PUBLIC SAMPLE THEIR MUSIC OVER THE RADIO WAVES.
"Instructions" don't tell you how to download music!

The product itself is fine, but the directions really don't explain how to download music; they only tell you how to use the basics: volume, on/off, etc. Frustrating for someone like me, who doesn't have a natural ability to figure out technology!
big sound for a little device...but

Great sounding device and is a cinch to use with Windows Media Player 11. Not much in the way of instructions and the Rhapsody software would not load on my pc. The blue lit face is neat but impossible to see in daylight. Takes a while to learn to operate this mp3 but it is loaded with lots of neat stuff including a fm radio that works well. May as well trash the supplied earbuds because they wont stay in your ears. A 20$ pair of J-buds solved that problem.
