Only the audio portion of the adapter works! This is not what I was expecting. So much for buying it "used and in good conditions".

Like everyone's said before; this particular cable can't display UMD data on a TV. Composite doesn't have the data range to accommodate the UMD video. Get the Component cable (the one with a red, blue and green video lines in addition to the red and white audio channels).

Save yourselves some money; just get the "Component Av Cable for Sony Slim PSP 2000" and ignore this one. The component cable can do everything this composite cable can do in addition to doing what you want; displaying your UMD games and movies on a big screen.

It does what it's meant to do. Just as the product says, IT DOESN'T TRANSMIT GAME FOOTAGE TO THE TV! So don't buy it if that's what your looking for... however, if you're looking for something that can transmit videos on the big screen, this is the one, it works to perfection. I am very pleased with my purchase. Now I can travel with the ease of knowing that I can just hook up my psp with the cables and watch MY movies on the hotels tv, hahaha...

Just make sure you have a digital TV. This cable and also the composit cable won't work on a regular TV.

Don't buy this!! I had to give it one star. It shouldn't have any.

The only reason I bought a PSP was because I was under the impression that there was a cable that would allow me to play PSP games on a TV.

Well, stupid me, I went and destroyed the miserable packaging to free the cable without reading the back of the packaging first. I hooked it up, thinking I would be playing Wipeout Pulse (great game) on 27 inches, but all I got was music, with no picture. This is the part where I'd curse and scream, and I did just that, upon reading the packaging in its three point font where it says "cannot display game images".

"Cannot display game images" huh? Would you buy an IPod that just played videos with NO SOUND? I feel as though I have done just that. I could care less about putting still frames and UMD movies on my TV, thats what I own a PC and a DVD player for. Sony is selling a worthless 20 dollar cable and smiling all the way to the bank. The joke is on them, because after all the other crappy products they put out, this 23 year old has shut the door on Sony.

There's really no need for this until sony releases an update allowing the psp to download adobe flash player 9. Then it would be cool to browse the internet on your tv and watch funny youtube clips. Not being able to play games through these cables is just a terrible flaw. I got all excited when I typed in AV composite cable psp in amazon and found these. I didn't do any research because I figured, If they are composite av cables, they play the system through your tv's av inputs, isn't that how it's supposed to work??? Nope, Major Buzz Kill, believe me ;( ... Was kind of pissed off. Anywayz, I guess for $15.00 I can find a use for the cable but I don't know of any TV that has a front side. Buyer Be-ware, I learned to re-search more and be completely anal about what I just impulsively buy from Amazon, ebay etc. Hope this helps!

Great accessory for your PSP! If you want to play games though, buy a nice progressive scan TV and the composite cables.

This product is not for all PSP's and doesn't work to put the game on the Television which is what i was hoping for. what is the point of buying this then?
